I don't know if anyone can answer this but for example-

Episode 50 The Magician was made in 1981 yet episode 52 is from 1980.

When Trouble showed episode 50 they showed it after episode 67 becuse they show them in the order they were first broadcast, I noticed TNN show them in the official order.

So what is the official order and why is it sometimes totally different to when the episodes were broadcast or made?

First of all here is a link to an episode guide that lists the episode airdates and production numbers:

I personally put this guide together and all airdates have been verified. Generally, I think it's up to the network to decide what order they want to air the episodes in. Some choose to air them in production order like TNN and some choose to air them in airdate order. It's their call.

The Magician was the first episode made for the 3rd Season but was the 17th episode to actually air.

Personally, all networks should air the episodes in the order they were made, production order, it's the most logical order.
