Money may have won Sportsnet (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=319769) an NHL broadcast monopoly in Canada, but no amount of money can fix their absolutely brutal game presentatio (http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=1973641)n, especially the pre-game and intermission segments. The studio set looks like a retread from a 1980’s disco and their on-air staff is all-amateur-hour-all-the time.

Nick Kypreos? Please…..come back when you get a grade-school diploma. Damien Cox? Ugh…..the “scoops” you provide every Saturday come right out of my weekend newspaper. Kelly Hrudy…..thanks for curing my insomnia. TSN and CBC may not have the rights anymore, but they sure as hell have retained all the talent.

HNIC is definitely no longer the same show I grew up with! I think Sportsnet is trying to do to many different things. It's like they had a brainstorming session and came up with 25 features they could have on the show and are trying to do all 25! I think it would be better if they would choose the top 4 or 5 features and try to those ones really well and forget about the others.
