I have always wondered why some soap writers have done great jobs over the years and then they have bad stints at other soaps. Do they just run out of ideas?? Too much interference from executive producer or network. Two examples:

Claire Labine is well known for Where the Heart Is, Love of Life and Ryan's Hope and General Hospital but her time on One Life to Live and Guiding Light isn't very well regarded.

Pam Long is praised for Texas, Guiding Light and Search For Tomorrow but not for Santa Barbara or One Life to Live.

Is OLTL the death of a soap writer??? LOL
