This is just horrible. I had the pleasure of meeting Nathaniel twice at an OLTL Fan Club gathering in NYC and he was the nicest person in the world to his fans. I honestly don't see how he can recover fully from this but I hope that he does.

Actor Nathaniel Marston is reportedly recovering in a hospital after he was injured in a car crash on the evening of Friday, October, 30.

Marston, who is a soap opera veteran, having appeared in both One Life To Live and As The World Turns, is in an extremely serious condition. It’s thought that he has suffered a broken neck, shoulder, and ribs in the accident, as well as fracturing numerous vertebrae too.
Elizabeth Jackson, who is Marston’s mother, took to her Facebook page several times over the last 24 hours to provide several updates. Her initial message, on Saturday evening, informed her followers and fans of the accident.

“Please pray for my son Nathaniel Marston.. He was in a car accident last night and is in intensive care on life support. Back and neck broken in several places. Other internal injuries. Please pray that he will recover and walk again.”

Three hours later, she then looked to dispel any rumors that may emerge regarding her son’s car crash by revealing that police offers had confirmed Nathaniel Marston was sober at the time of the crash.

“Just spoke to highway patrol and tribal police.. In case rumor mill gets going. Nate was sober according to cops. Waiting to speak to Dr.Please pray that Nate does not end up a paraplegic.. neck broken and fractured in neck vertebrae 3,4,5,6, and 7. Shoulder broken along with all ribs.Collapsed lung and pneumonia. Please please pray for him”

Then, early on Sunday morning, Elizabeth Jackson confirmed that Nathaniel Marston in all likelihood, if he survives, would be left paralyzed and wouldn’t be able to breathe without a ventilator. Her full post revealed the sobering news.

“Spoke to Nates Dr. In all likely hood if he lives he will be paralyzed from the neck down and will not breathe without a ventilator machine. Oh my God please give me strength.”

This post then led to an outpouring of support from Elizabeth Jackson’s friends and family, each of whom immediately sent out their “positive thoughts” and insisted that she was in their “heart and prayers.”

Nathaniel Marston has been a hugely popular figure and actor in the soap opera world. Marston originally shot to fame after he appeared on CBS’ As The World Turns between 1998 and 2000, playing Eddie Silva.

During his stint on the show, Marston earned plenty of fans and plaudits, so much so, in fact, that he earned a Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for Outstanding Male Newcomer.

But it was on ABC’s One Life To Live that Marston really grew in stature, playing the character of Al Holden between 2001 and 2003, before then returning as Dr. Michael McBain on the series between 2004 and 2007.

In fact, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, when Marston was originally written out of the show and released from his contract back in 2003, fans became so annoyed at the network’s decision that they wrote to them in droves and actually convinced ABC to reinstate him.

Nathaniel Marston has had his fair share of issues though. On October 21, 2007, Marston was arrested in New York City following an altercation with three people. It’s believed that he was under the influence of narcotics at the time.

Marston later plead guilty to the charge of misdemeanor resisting arrest, and underwent a three-month course in anger management, but did avoid a jail term.

On March 31, 2006, Nathaniel Marston married Rita Bias, and it’s believed that the pair are still husband and wife.

Nathaniel Marston UPDATE: November 11, 2015 - Dear family and friends, it is with a heavy heart that I share this devastating news. My beloved and cherished son, Nathaniel Marston, who was putting up the good fight until last night was not able to continue due to the traumatic and devastating nature of his injuries. Nathaniel passed away peacefully as I held him in my arms. Father William, myself and his second Mommy Lisa, and our dear friend Charlotte were by his bedside, he was not alone. His injuries, which Dr.’s did their best to heal were not responding to treatment and one after another his bodily functions failed to support his life.

Had Nathaniel lived he would have required a ventilator and would never have been able to utter one more word and would have been sentenced to life as a quadriplegic. A condition that Nate would have never have been able to tolerate. By Gods love and mercy Nathaniel was spared this living hell and has traveled on to be with God, his cherished Grandmother Mary Jackson, Grandfather John Jackson and my sister his Aunt Nora…. God is merciful and because of his mercy God ended Nathaniel’s pain and suffering at 3:15 today PST in Reno, NV. Nathaniel now lives with Father God, surrounded with peace, love and light.

Know that I am deeply grateful for all of you for taking this tragic two week journey with me Nathaniel and our family. Your unfailing support, prayers, love and positive thoughts that you have sent our way, in what has been the worst two weeks of my life, have held all of us up giving us the strength to get through each hellish day.

Arrangements will be made for a memorial service in New York City, NY, Kauai, HI and Gerlach, NV. As soon as dates for these services are known they will be posted. Again, thank you for your prayers, your love, your kindness and your friendship which has allowed me and my family to be strong enough to be by my son's side for these past 12 days. The outpouring of your love came as an unexpected gift and I don't know how I will repay you for all of your love, prayers and support. Thank you for sharing your love, your experiences with me about how my treasured child, a man who grew into an individual who touched more lives than I ever could have known. XOXOXOXOXOOX

Very sad. :(

Being a huge fan of The Craft, I know him from his small appearance as the goofy bully alongside Breckin Meyer.
