I didn't have a grandfather in my life either. One died years before I was born and the other died when I was a baby. :(

Oh yeah!! I've noticed his hair length changes on Petticoat Junction. In keeping up with the times, he grew it a little longer than when he first came on in Season 4!! At first he had the typical early to mid 60' s hair cut. Parted WAY over on the side and pretty short and looks like he used Brylcreem .Till the long hair on men came in, and they still wanted Steve kind of conservative, so his was never THAT long, but longer and a dryer look, the Brylcreem look was pretty much out of style by late 60's! ;)

Steve was just the ultimate, tall, dark, handsome man! Very masculine with a deep voice. Every girls dream back than! And he was even a crooner!! ;) Doesn't get any better than that! :) .And yes I have noticed his nice butt! I was thinking that the other day ,he was wearing some white or light tan pants and I was like WOW!!!:eek: :D

MeTV has also been airing some of the Beverly Hillbillies episodes story-arc that takes place in Hooterville (Granny is going to tend to Steve & Betty Jo's baby). I didn't see much of Steve/Mike except I think he was in at least one of them.

These ones had Jethro as a Hollywood producer, and he says "I'll marry Billie Jo one day, and Bobbie Jo the next!" They also had Eb Dawson as a love interest for Elly May Clampett.

It's sad though that among the 3 Bradley sisters and Elly, only one wedding took place. I think a wedding between Bobbie Jo and Orrin Pike would've happened if PJ continued.

Mike was playing "Dick Bremerkamp, an out-of-work actor" using a bunch of false names eventually joined as "Robert Audubon Getty Crockett." Lane was playing Miss Jane's landlord. (Tough to find good photos of Mike from those eps!)

The two were also joined by another former Petticoat Junction co-star, Lori Saunders, as one of the Commerce Bank secretaries staying at Miss Jane's. Lori's look changed a little, as she appeared to be growing out the bangs she had in Season 7 of Petticoat Junction. I just checked on Amazon and they have Mike Minor's music but only on records, no CD's !!! I don't have a record player. He has such a good voice, it's a shame he didn't become more famous for his singing!!! Did he perform in Vegas or anyplace like that I wonder?

Great photo of the PJ/BH/Green Acres group! It's like a "who's who." Sad that Bea Benadaret and Smiley Burnette had both passed away by that time. Also Byron Foulger ("Wendell Gibbs" on PJ) is absent, and I believe Rufe Davis ("Floyd Smoot") may have moved on by that time -- though he did return briefly. This was before the intro of Bobbie Jo's man, Orrin Pike.

Hey Bonniegirl! This is SO weird. My mom was throwing out some old SOAP OPERA digests from the late 70s - early 80s and I decided to go through them to see if I recognized any of the actors. I found this picture of Mike Minor in the July 21, 1981 issue when he was on "All My Children." Enjoy!!!!

Right around the time BH was ending, circa 1971, we had a couple of family friends in their early 20s who had just grown mustaches and sideburns. One time when they were visiting our house, my dad took thin white cardstock and colored some pieces with brown marker --cutting out a fake mustache and 'burns for me to stick on (age about 6). I put them on upstairs, and everyone had a laugh when I came down to debut my "new look" ~~~ ! :)

They didn't show them!!!!!!! :( I'm really upset!!!!!!! :mad: They showed the pilot ep, and the second ep. Back at the beginning ,skipping over the Mike Minor eps. which were the last of the series !!!!!! :( I wonder why??:confused:

It's odd the way ME TV skips some episodes but plays others. When I watched Pet. Junction they consistently skipped "A House Divided" every run thru of the series. Finally in just this most recent run of the series they actually played this episode. Boy was I happy I kept track of the series to be sure I was there when they finally put it on. Early last year when ME TV ran My 3 Sons they consistently skipped large masses of episodes, I'm talking 25 episodes skipped several times every time the ran the series thru. A couple months ago when they decided to put My 3 Sons back on again, I'm happy to say they didn't skip all those episodes any more, BUT they didn't even keep the series on long enough to get very far in the series. It was gone all together before they got to a couple episodes I was hoping to see. (Thank goodness for TV Land recordings.)

So basically it goes back to again, you have to have your favorite series recorded or buy the DVD sets otherwise you're going to keep getting mad when you rely on a TV channel to see all the episodes. If you had recorded, for one example, Bev Hillbillies before you wouldn't care if ME TV skipped episodes, you'd have them already.
