View Full Version : This show is So BAD!!!!
peter may 04-03-2002, 03:07 PM I had never seen this show before in my life until Last Year on my summer holiday in Portugal as it was on weeknights at about 8pm.
At first I thought it was the Beverly Hillbillies.
There was nothing funny at all about it. It made my skin crawl.
Keep it in the archives!!!
Pitooey 04-03-2002, 06:54 PM Well I do respect your opinion but, I grew up seeing this program and I liked it then. It's not all that bad. Maybe you saw a bad episode of this show. :D
psychadelicsister 08-31-2003, 10:00 PM I agree!!! I think this show sucked!
It was lame, in my opinion. Thank god for my favorite shows of today that are actually funny, smart, and cosmopolitan. Granted, there are people who may enjoy humor more toned down, like that of "Green Acres," but it ain't me, babe! So don't you diss me if I didn't like this show--I'll diss you right back for liking it! Can't we all just get along?;)
Hah! Well you certainly are acting like you want to get along with everyone here...;)

Hi bb25 - How are you?
Key word where this new poster is concerned: IGNORE!
She's already been reported, so don't fan her flaming by responding directly to her.
IGNORE. IGNORE. IGNORE.
Peace ~
LOL! Ok, yeah, you're right...I just couldn't resist though...
ficlopri 10-03-2003, 04:30 PM Fact is GA had some very good eps. But it had tons of crummy ones too.
GrandGame1440 02-13-2004, 04:45 PM True....True.....
Dilly 02-14-2004, 06:35 AM It was one of the few shows I could watch with my mom that we would both laugh. Its a zany show, no doubt about it. No intelligence whatsoever but that's okay. Not everything has to make complete sense. Everything was over the top and I could feel Olivers frustration. Hooterville lives on....:happyface
GAnderson 02-15-2004, 12:49 AM Anyone who thinks this show wasn't funny is an idiot. Case closed.
hawaii five-o 03-05-2004, 04:17 PM It's not bad, it's surreal.
vze3t9q9 03-27-2004, 07:17 PM I believe it is hard to see todays show and then show shows of 40 years ago. It is indeed different. I was brought up on shows of the mostly 1960's and 1970's and I don't watch any shows of the 1990's or 2000's. If you don't like it move to another channel.
storrs19 03-28-2004, 03:30 PM Right On !!!!
To me, if it is from 1990 on: IT SUCKS !!!
Just my humble opinion

Agreed!;) Just my humble opinion
shocolah 03-29-2004, 10:07 AM The show had me laughing out loud last night. It was the 60's and who knows what the writers were smoking! (Just kidding, but the humor is so off the wall .....). Mr. Haney's pathetic antiques and when that harp collapsed, I bust out laughing. There are some eps that are totally worthless, but some are so d_mned stupid that they're hysterical! Last night, I chose to watch Green Acres over Arrested Development which is has got to be the worst show I've ever seen in my life!
Pitooey 03-29-2004, 10:34 AM I love when Olivers mother faints... She cracks me up.
vze3t9q9 04-08-2004, 08:41 PM As I recall the actress who played either Olivers mother or it is Lisa's mother was played by Eleanor Audrey. She sold Lucy and Ricky Richardo their Connecticut house. She was also did a few episodes of Beverly Hillbillies. I haven't tuned into Green Acres lately so I can't remember whose mom she played. But I know the expressions she makes.
Michael [hXc] 04-09-2004, 07:23 AM I think she played Oliver's mother.
ScottD 04-10-2004, 06:15 PM I don't think I'd seen Green Acres since I was a little kid, I'm 37 now, but I remembered loving it so I picked up the first season on DVD and I'm now so hooked on it!! This show is just hilarious! Normally, even shows that I think are really funny don't necessarily make me absolutely laugh out loud but this show does. The cast is so perfect and so good in each role-- I can't wait for season 2 on DVD!
Chain Gang Member 04-11-2004, 03:21 PM I didn't think the show was good(mainly because I never watched it before). Then on the Green Acres weekend,I thought "what the hell,I'll give it a try".I started watching it and saw that some of the characters reminded me of other characters from other classic shows(Oliver:James Brdford of Three's A Crowd/Archey Bunker from All In The Family,Lisa:Chrissy Snow from Three's Company,Monroes Bros.:Lenny & Squiggy from Leverne & Shirley).I started liking it
