"Undateable" to be Live on Both Coasts For Rest of Season 3

NBC is changing the game plan for returning comedy series "Undateable".
After going live on both coasts in the third-season premiere, the multi-camera comedy was slated to switch to the "SNL" model for the rest of the season — doing a live show in the East, which gets tape-delayed for the rest of the country. That was done once last Friday, but starting with Episode 3 tonight, "Undateable" will go back to mounting two live telecasts a night for the rest of its 13-episode order.
"Undateable", from Bill Lawrence and Adam Sztykiel, switched to a live format after a one-time stunt at the end of Season 2 when the show again aired live on both coasts. The series got off to a so-so ratings start this fall, drawing a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating in Live+Same Day for the hourlong premiere two weeks ago.
That was followed by an encouraging uptick to a 0.9 rating for last Friday’s episode, which ironically was only live on the East Coast. Tonight’s musical guest is L.A.-based four-piece band Saint Motel.
