"Chicago Med" Taps "Beauty and the Beast" Actor as... the New Gregory House?

Sorry, Gregory House: There’s a new cranky TV doctor in town, and he’s coming to "Chicago Med".
Brennan Brown (Beauty and the Beast, Person of Interest) will recur on NBC’s upcoming "Chicago Fire" offshoot, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Brown will play Dr. Sam Abrams, a cantankerous, irritable but brilliant neurosurgeon. Per the official character description, he has “no patience for young, cocky, privileged, hot-headed doctors who lack his old-school work ethic. Though his bedside manner is lacking, his surgical skills make up for his astringent attitude.”
"Chicago Med" opens its doors Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 9/8c on NBC; no word yet when Brown will make his debut.
