I don't know why retro channels eventually seem to want to produce their own programming. I guess there's money that can be made there. But still, you would think it would be more profitable to show reruns of old shows and not have to invest in new ones, but I'm not an accountant.

scrapple 10-22-2015, 11:14 PM Anyone remember Eye Guess with Bill Cullen?
The problem with old game shows is that most of their episodes no longer exist. So hoping to see them again is something unlikely to happen, otherwise it would have been done by now.

Buzzr is a network that airs the old game shows but sadly many of us can't get it. :(

Buzzr is a game show network that's better than Game Show Network

If I got Buzzr and Me-TV I'd be one happy camper and wouldn't need any
other channels.
MrCleveland 10-23-2015, 01:20 PM I would have the Wink Martindale's Trivial Pursuit, $ale of the Century, and The Price is Right.
The new GSN shows would go.
I still wish Buzzr would come to Cleveland, but I feel the reason is...Cleveland can't win!ohno:ohno:ohno:ohno:ohno:
mets82 10-23-2015, 03:56 PM No Buzzr here in CT.

I watch Buzzr all the time. Problem is they seem to rerun the same cycle of episodes all the time.

loaferman 10-29-2015, 12:01 PM I do enjoy "The Chase" but the other new shows stink because they are "reality competitions" and not true game shows. I used to enjoy "Family Feud" but now I can't stand it. Most Networks seem to pick one or two shows and run them day and night. I'm sure it is cheaper but I'm sick of several shows because of it. One episode a day is plenty.
Now they literally advertise upcoming shows as being on "all day".

WOW!!! That is cool!!! ;) I remember To tell the truth from the early 70's with Kitty Carlyle, Peggy Cass , Bill Cullen (and other wonderful old celebrities that I can't think of their names now) in color!!! :) ;) I LOVED that game show!!! :)

The Price is Right (1950s and 1972 to 1999)

Most of the Art Fleming Jeopardys were wiped. Not likely going to be able to see any of the Bill Cullen Price is Rights either. If it's from mid-70s or older, then it's probably gone for good.
Coffeecup 11-19-2015, 09:48 PM I'd like to DVR some more To tell the Truth and other panel type shows, but yesterday I spilled quite warm coffee on my leg and my tv remote doesn't go. Tend to think spilt coffee there too. I felt like such a dope. I have to watch shows the old fashioned way, getting up and fiddling with the gray box.
