How aggravating to have waited this long for results and still not have any answers! Tighthead 10-20-2015, 06:25 PM Forensic evidence may be inconclusive but all the other evidence points to it being him. Good enough for me. neognosis 10-20-2015, 09:28 PM Thanks for the update. Good enough for me. agreed. they only had mother's DNA. those tests were completed around april 2015. apparently they need male DNA from father or brother to make it conclusive. Y-chromosome. they are attempting to locate it. Awsi Dooger 10-21-2015, 06:24 PM Forensic evidence may be inconclusive but all the other evidence points to it being him. Good enough for me. Good call. This is like the DB Cooper case, a mystery only if you ignore all the logic. neognosis 10-22-2015, 12:40 AM Good call. This is like the DB Cooper case, a mystery only if you ignore all the logic. so....where is db cooper who was he and where's the rest of the money according to "logic"? sdb4884 11-23-2015, 09:43 AM Good to hear that this might be solved. pardilia 12-09-2015, 03:28 PM https://www.facebook.com/HelpIDMe/posts/1175521565809082 They just posted that he's been ID'd as Jason Callahan. I doubt they'd post it if it's not official. dks64 12-09-2015, 07:09 PM https://www.facebook.com/HelpIDMe/posts/1175521565809082 They just posted that he's been ID'd as Jason Callahan. I doubt they'd post it if it's not official. I saw it here too: https://www.facebook.com/GratefulDoe/ 1990 UM fan 12-10-2015, 12:15 PM It's been on WBTW News13 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and several other news outlets, so it's official. I am sad that Jason is really dead and will never be with his family again in this lifetime, but there is closure knowing that his whereabouts have been ascertained and that his death was only an accident and he's not a murder victim laying dead somewhere. Prayers and thoughts to his family during this time. LooksLikeCRicci 12-10-2015, 04:16 PM It's been on WBTW News13 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and several other news outlets, so it's official. Cori aka ChrisSCrush 12-10-2015, 04:27 PM Someone on Facebook who makes cremation mementoes was asking for his mom's address to make her one. Corkys-Place 12-11-2015, 01:31 AM Finally, after 20 years this case has now been solved. I've always thought it was crazy that no one knew who this kid was or even appeared to miss him. Cori aka ChrisSCrush 12-11-2015, 01:49 AM Jason is currently trending on Facebook so someone cares! Tighthead 12-11-2015, 08:03 AM I always thought the 1976 Sumter County does case would be solved first. It seems like with two people there are more potential connections to make. For some reason I have always followed the cases together and considered them similar. It is nice to have this one closed. The fact that he wasn't reported missing shows how many obstacles there can be to resolving these cases. LooksLikeCRicci 12-11-2015, 03:59 PM Jason's story has hit the pages of MSN.com (http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/how-internet-sleuths-on-facebook-and-reddit-solved-the-20-year-old-mystery-of-a-missing-teenager/ar-AAggp1Q?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=HPCDHP).... I'm glad answers were finally found in this one. I, like the majority of you, thought it was Jason the minute those pictures from the old roommate surfaced. DALLASTEXAN!! 12-12-2015, 10:04 PM Wow interesting article. One of the most memorable moments featured in the shaye-smith era. |
