I really need to know why some people are infatuated with Dr. Lillith Sternin? Don't get me wrong, I think that she's a great character and a superb foil for Frasier. However, to have her and Frasier get back together to me makes no sense. From a storyline aspect, Frasier and Lillith always fought for cerebral supremacy. The only thing they seemed to have good together was sex. This is a woman that plucked out his heart and stomped on it. A woman that drove Frasier into a heavy depression and onto the verge of suicide. A woman that comes back to beg Frasier's forgiveness, only because the man she left him for was a madman. They get back together only to divorce a short time later. They've repeatedly reunited including sleeping together only to regret it in the morning. She even slept with his brother Niles! When Frasier ends, I hope the writers don't unite the two again to end the show. In a lot of ways, she is to Frasier, what Maris was to Niles!

Ditto. I couldn't have said it better.

It's the chemistry! Frasier and Lilith really loved each other, they just have to get over their own egos to recognize it. Maris didn't fulfill Niles emotionally, but Lilith did with Frasier... they had a lot of good years together that people just forget about! Their marriage went rocky, and their relationship turned into a seesaw. We all make mistakes. They're just perfect for each other and THAT is why everyone wants to see them back together. We want to see that spark again. Aside from the "spark," they're also damn funny together!!

Anyhow, to compare Lilith to Maris is just plain wrong. Lilith was so much more to Frasier than Maris ever was to Niles.

I disagree, I think they do have good chemistry but so does he and Jean Smart! I don't think they love each other as much as they fall back on each other like crutches when they need love. I would love to see Frasier hook up with someone new for a long term commitment.(Just not Lillith) The episode where he imagines all the past women in his life(Diane,Lillith, his ex wife who's name escapes me) was to explain that he always made the WRONG choices. Frasier admits Lillith was a wrong choice.

Well, obviously a lot of people disagree, now don't they? LOL See, I think it appears to the world he made a wrong choice regarding Lilith, but she obviously still holds a special place in his heart. He calls her up at wee hours in the morning seeking help. They have a special relation... a special bond. He even asked her if he "knew how to be happy" and her response was "yes." That's because he WAS happy when they were together back in the day. They both were... then the writers decided to go screw all up. (Yes, yes... I know Bebe requested to be written off!) Since that turn around, everyone has made it out like Lilith and Frasier were never right for each other... they were good for each other. Yes, I do believe as of now they're like a safety net for each other, but only because there's that level of comfort.

As for the season premiere, it wasn't about him admitting his wrong choices, it was about LETTING GO. He wasn't letting go of the past, so he couldn't move forward. Lilith wasn't a wrong choice. Wrong choices were made in their relationship, but she certainly wasn't a wrong choice.

Well, I know many others feel Lilith and Frasier belong together. To each his own, right? I didn't really see the chemistry between Jean Smart (I do adore her though) and Kelsey! I didn't really like Lana and Frasier together (well, more so than Clare and Frasier). Bebe and Kelsey together are just classic. To us fans who watched them together throughout Cheers, they were and always will be meant for each other. And that, my friend, is what the big "Lilith hype" is about. :talk:

You couldn't have said it ANY better in your posts! i agree completely, theres something that they posess when theyre together on screen.. and you cant look logically at it, because if you look logically at any relationship, you only destroy love.. and we all know you cant explain it! lol And yes, even with the writing on Frasier how it says that she was a "mistake" in the past, in reality, they'll always be imperfectly perfect for eachother.
