The influential comedy, ranked No. 3 on TV GUIDE's list of the 50 Greatest Shows of All Time, celebrates its golden anniversary.
The special focuses on the “Classic 39” episodes that first aired on CBS from 1955 to '56 and includes clips from such episodes as “The Golfer,” in which Norton teaches Ralph how to address the ball---“Hello, ball.” There is also previously unseen footage of a 60 Minutes interview with Jackie Gleason, and a separate chat with Art Carney. In addition, celebrities who were influenced by Gleason, including Carol Burnett, Martin Short, Dennis Franz, Tony Danza and John Ritter, share their favorite moments from the series.
