Exclusive: "Parks and Recreation's" Nick Offerman To Guest on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine"

EW has learned exclusively that the man who embodied gruff libertarian survivalist Ron Swanson for seven seasons on NBC’s local-government comedy "Parks and Recreation" will guest-star on the Nov. 22 episode of Fox’s "Brooklyn Nine-Nine".
Offerman will play Frederick, who is… no, not the new, new, new captain of the precinct, but the ex-boyfriend of another stoic figure, Capt. Holt (Andre Braugher).
Details are few, but we do know that the episode, titled 'Ava', takes place on Thanksgiving Day, and that Frederick crosses paths again with Holt in a story line that involves Sharon (Merrin Dungey), who is the wife of Terry (Terry Crews), giving birth to their third child.
Oh, and also: Frederick doesn’t die.
