I always wondered how Willona always knew everyone's business. It seems like in every episode she knew what every tenant was going through.. She sure did know everyone's business like with Gerty from "The Dinner Party", Wanda from the "Rent Party", etc. She says she works at the boutique, but she always knew everyone's business like if she had tape recorders in everyone's apt. Always running her mouth and gossip.

Willona also matured when Penny entered the scene. Actually, she started getting really serious in the fourth season when she told Florida that children do grow up and leave the nest at some time and she shouldn't be selfish(Florida was going to miss out on Thelma's wedding to Ibe or something like that because she was mad at her because she thought it was wrong of Thelma to be engaged to Ibe so damn soon. Willona pointed out that that would break Thelma's heart.)
When Penny entered the scene, Willona was no longer a chatty gossiper and was more concerned about Penny's bruises and the burn on her back. She then became concerned with adopting and raising Penny.
