Yea I'm going to watch the 2nd part too, want to see how it ends.

When the show first aired on CBS, I watched just about every episode for the first two seasons. Then sometime during season 3, I started losing interest and stopped watching.

How can anybody pick Barbara over Julie? If I'm Max, I'd choose Barbara in a heartbeat. Although, wait, when Max came on the show how old was Barbara? I think she was 19 when Max came on. How old was he? If he was like 30 and she was 19, then it wouldnt work because of the age difference.

The second part ended with Julie telling Max she's expecting. This seemed to help them reconcile and resolve their differences. I didn't like the episode all that much, thought it was kinda bland and dull.

And is it just me, or does anyone else get irritated whenever Max calls Ann "shorty"? To me that is disrespectful, Ann is his mother in law, be more respectful for christ sake. I don't care much for Max, he acts like an arrogant jerk much of the time. And that ugly beard of his. He needs to shave that crap off. :lol:

I like Michael Lembeck better as Clete Meisenheimer in Mary Hartman. Clete is goofy, but he's more likeable, and he doesn't have the ugly, hideous beard. :lol:

Yeah!! It was a two parter where Julie shows up back home all upset saying she thinks Max is cheating on her with his airline coworkers. She has no proof at all. She's just insecure cause the flight attendants are pretty and he works long hours. Than she confesses to her Mom and Sis that SHE actually had an affair!:eek: So Julie was being a big hypocrite basically!:( Anyway Max comes and they spend the night together and "reconcile" .Than the next day a pretty blonde co-worker comes to the apt. just to pick Max up to take him back to the airport, and Julie freaks out and blurts out to him that she cheated on him!:eek: Than part 2 she announces she's pregnant to Mom and Sis and it is definitely Max's ,not the other guy she slept with and it ends with her telling Max about the baby and they hug, well sorta hug. I guess it was Antenna that cut it just as they went to hug!! :( And that was it!!! So, now Julie is pregnant with little Annie!:)

Exactly!!! He has a very "New Yorker" kind of personality ! which is outspoken and kind of blunt but actually it's really very friendly and jovial!!;)

When Max calls Ann shorty, I know he's not saying it in a mean way, it just doesn't sound like a respectful way to address your mother in law. If I had a mother in law who was short in height, I wouldn't call her shorty, even if she'd be OK with it. I just wouldn't do that.

Max wasn't sure what to call her? How about just simply calling her mom, or by her name, Ann. Would that have been too difficult? :lol: The writers probably came up with the idea for him to call her shorty.

I agree Mark was a jerk too in the other episode yesterday, refusing to drive Barbara home so she could meet up with the other guy. But in a way he did the right thing. At first Barbara was pissed at him about it, but then she started thinking and ended up wanting him. :lol:

Back to Mark. Google says it's about an hour and a half drive from Indianapolis to Kokomo. Barbara could have freaked out and stopped the ride way before they got there.

Side note. When Julie and Chuck ran away, they ended up in a Kokomo motel, or whatever that dump was.

I saw that, that was so messed up.. I feel bad for Max that Julie cheated on him but he does have a lot of young females working with him that do seem to try to flirt with him on the job.

This was just on!!! I pretty much don't have anything to add from my original post, except I really got in to it today! I'm not feeling well, and was supposed to go out today, and didn't cause I'm under the weather! I was a little sad. :( But it was a stroke of luck that this two parter was on, and Max looking hot in his pajama's cheered me up! ;)

One thing I was wondering about was when did Barbara get a double bed? :confused: Her and Julie used to have twin beds in their room and I remember something like Julie's bed got sold or something?, but I assumed Barbara kept her twin bed? Was it just for this ep. so it could show that Julie and Max "got together" that night? Lucky Julie, I would love to get Max's pajamas off! :happyface See how she was glowing the next morning? ;) Till the pregnancy hormones kicked in and she got jealous of the stewardess at the door! :mad:
