This is the show that taught me what a lanai is. It's never come up in real life , but its there if I need it.

It's interesting how up here it's a "patio" or "back porch", but down south, it's a lanai. :lol:

Lanai is actually an island in Hawaii, so I guess patio areas in the more tropical areas of the country are referred to that way.

I'm in GA, here we say "back porch".
