One time, I locked myself out of my dorm room wearing nothing but a bathrobe. We have doors that lock automatically, so we need our keys every time we leave the room. I had to walk all the way down to campus police in my bathrobe and shower slippers to ask them to unlock my door because my roommate wasn't there. I never forgot my room key again! vienna waits 04-02-2002, 03:50 PM My parents have locked them in their cars before.. it made them mad. lol AllIWantIsYourClutch 04-02-2002, 04:54 PM My parents went with my friend's parents to this football gameo once and my friend's dad locked the keys in the car and he was drunk and he started beating crap against the window but it wouldn't break and then some other drunk guy came over and tried to help, but he couldn't get it so they waited for 2 hours til the Onstar people came to help them and me and my friend were at home and scared to death because our parents weren't home and her dad's cell phone was in the car and my mom didn't have hers on and it was scary. KerriBerri687 04-02-2002, 06:20 PM mmmmmmeeeeeee!! my mom hadta walk down the block to our neighbors house to get the spare keys...no biggy! :) *Marilyn Monroe* 04-02-2002, 06:34 PM The other day I walked home and I had locked my key in the house b4 school and didnt remember. I hoped that my brother had his. He didn't. We sat outside in the snow until my best friend/neighbor came home then we went there and called my mom. It was BAD!! Kay Scarpetta 04-02-2002, 06:39 PM Back in the fall, I walked home from school. I put the key in my house then went to check the mail. Well, my door was lockd when it shut. I had to walk alllllllllllllllllll the way to my grandmothers house on a chilly day. Her house is 2 miles from here. Ain't that bad if you think about it, but it was COLD Czas na Zywiec 04-02-2002, 08:03 PM Oh, wait to you hear this sorry story. When we were moving, I LOCKED the keys in our house and NO ONE had a spare because he had given all the keys to the new owners and it was the end of November at 20 degrees! It was our last night in that house. We had to break into our house through my mom's bedroom window and it was on the 2nd floor! I had to climbed up a ladder, broke through the window, and fall into a room w/ no furniture! At least there was carpet. Sheesh. After that day, I NEVER left the house w/out my keys. Mr. Shy Guy 04-02-2002, 09:24 PM I hide a key on the porch on my house and about once a week I always leave the key in my house. So I have to walk about a mile to where my mother works and get her key. I can't seem to break that habit. Warm & Fuzzy 04-02-2002, 09:27 PM Originally posted by WingsFan Me! I was like "Yeah..." so this mechanic dude hadda come and open the door Plata 04-02-2002, 11:00 PM My dad has locked himself out of his car before. I remember one time, which was actually maybe just a couple months ago, we got locked out of the house. We both only have a key for the deadbolt on the door, but not for the knob, and the knob had gotten accidentally locked when we closed the door. We had to crawl through the kitchen window to get inside the house. I always made sure to check that the door knob was unlocked for sure everytime we left after that happened. Ags2000 04-03-2002, 03:26 AM Actually, I locked my keys in my truck today  I came home between classes and I took everything out of truck and then shut the door. It was at that time that I realized that my keys were still in the ignition. :D I had to call a locksmith and pay $30 for them to spend 2 minutes to unlock it. I went down to Wally World tonight and got 2 copies of my keys made. One is in my house and the other I gave to a friend of mine. D Bootsy Whoosh 04-04-2002, 03:01 AM Ok, I've got you all beat, no question about that! I am the QUEEN of locking myself out. Lesse, I'll start out small.... I've locked myself out of my apartment probably about 3-5 times. Usually it's no problem because one of my roomies is home, but twice I had to wait for hours for someone to come home. I've locked my keys in my car too many times to count, with them on the passenger's seat, in the trunk, or sitting in the ignition. I've even locked my keys in my car with the engine still running!! More than once!!!! More than 5 times!!!! So what do I do? I carry a spare in my wallet, so usually, it's no worries. But GUESS WHAT? Yes, that's right folks....the queen of locking herself out has actually locked her keys AND her wallet in the car. I had to call my parents and have them drive out another spare to me (we have at least 3 or 4 copies of my car keys) :D ;) JDS84 04-04-2002, 09:16 PM I never have. One time I left my purse at school and I drove all the way home without my license. Czas na Zywiec 04-04-2002, 09:35 PM Well, I have another time too! LOL Me and my mom were at church this one morning and she actually left her keys in the pew. Well, I had a flight booked for that afternoon to Poland for the whole summer, so there would be no chance to get those keys after I left for the Airport. So my mom was like going crazy like right when we were going to leave because she couldn't find the keys! Then she remembered she left it in church and was hoping that they didn't close up yet. Well I went inside to look for em and couldn't find em in the pew we were sitting at and was like this day just keeps on getting better and better. So I went back to the Alter Servers room to look if someone found em and put em there, so I eventually found the parish lady and she said she found em so she gave it to me. Well, I almost missed my flight. I was so embarrassed because that is the first time that my plane was not delayed! My planes are always delayed due to "Technical Difficuties" or what they say. Montana Ponine 04-04-2002, 09:37 PM Actually, I can't remember a time when I (or anyone else in my family) locked their keys somewhere... Yes, folks, my life is THAT boring. it's kinda sad but oh well... |
