Meatloaf ROCKS!!!!! I've always LOVED meatloaf!!! It's such a great , warm, comfort food!!! So great tasting and wholesome!!! I loved it as a little girl and still to this day!!! Nothing like the smell of meatloaf cooking, and mashed potatoes and gravy or meatloaf and Macaroni & cheese or whatever!!!

It's good when they use brown gravy as the topping for it instead of tomato sauce.

I wouldn't eat meatloaf covered in tomato sauce.

The way my mom makes it is pretty good because she doesn't put bread crumbs in it. Just ground beef, onions, cheese, and Ro-tel tomatoes. That works for me.

Meatloaf is OK, but I'll only eat it with ketchup.

My sister didn't like meatloaf...I LOVE meatloaf.

I may make one today.

Maybe it is all in the way it is made.....afterall, isn't MEATLOAF America's Classic?

Here's a recipe to try:

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

2#'s.............Ground Turkey (or Beef or Pork)
1/8-1/4 C......Bran
1/2-3/4C.......Wheat Germ
2..................Eggs
1/4-1/3 C......Catsup
1/4 C............Brown Sugar
Dash of Salt
Crushed pineapple w/ juice
Top with more brown sugar and pineapple

Our kids loved it, because it was so sweet.

My favorite thing about meatloaf is meatloaf sandwiches the day after.

Oh, and Randy from A Christmas Story, I don't think he liked meatloaf.

there are dozens of ways to make meatloaf, many of them bad, weird, or "an acquired taste" to some. Find a different recipe or try a version that is more to your liking.

I prefer to make mine with a beef gravy on top - I find the idea of ketchup on top revolting. I also use lots of onions, parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs, a variety of spices and fresh vegetables finely chopped.


I just saw a recipe the other day that involves laying out your meat mixture flat, putting a layer of macaroni and cheese on it, then rolling it up into a loaf and cooking it - making sure to broil it for the last few minutes to brown the top.

I never liked meatloaf. Thank goodness my mom hardly ever cooked it.

I like all Meatloaf it's such a warm comfort food. But the one I tend to make most is ground meat (of course) ,Quaker oats instead of bread crumbs, onions, beat an egg in, salt. pepper, and BBQ sauce in the mixture. But it HAS to be Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce (the best) ! Than just a smidgen of the BBQ sauce spread on top. Than I make brown gravy on the side and mashed potatoes and pour the gravy on top of the meatloaf later !!!! Also you can crumble up saltines instead of breadcrumbs too!

My dad makes really good meatloaf. My mom has meatloaf recipe that uses boxed stuffing mix and that's good too.

I depends on how it is made. There are several different ways to make meatloaf

i didn't like meat loaf at first my grand mama before she died she made meat loaf i tried it then our school started making meat loaf i tried i now i love meat loaf!! now i enjoy Cracker Barrearll meat loaf they got the best meat loaf for a while i enjoyed alexander's subs they had like an meat loaf sub it was good not sure if they still got it or not !! the me and my mom and dad used to go to kenny rogers or know as boston market then rest rant in Atlanta ,ga they had good meat loaf!! then my mom got me some boston meat loaf in its form boston market its an tv dinner i still eat some its really good!! if you want good meat loaf boston market has the best meat loaf i also recommend cracker barrear they got good meat loaf!!

love love love meatloaf and I don't say love things much. And I'm eating less and less meat at this junction in my life. So I live on mealoaf memories...Stouffer's offers a meatloaf dinner, and I'll look at the ingredients to see if it's OK, it's small so that would suit me. Looked at the ingredients and made with beef and pork and high sodium and higher potassium which helps cut out sodium in body from this meatloaf....and small size which is good for me.
