Last week I discovered we are now getting the LAFF network. The problem is that I'm already watching way too many retro shows because we have so many networks. I have to imagine that the only other market with more retro networks is Chicago.

4.2: Laff
4.3 Cozi
6.2: Antennatv
12.2: Movies!
18.2: GetTV
24.3: Grit
49.2: Bounce (I guess this isn't retro so much since they took off Soul Train)
49.3: This
58.2: MeTV
58.3: Heroes and Icons
58.4: Decades

The only retro channels we don't get that I know of are retroTV(bleh) and Buzzr (I'd trade half these channels for this one)

I'm just wish more shows from the 1980's were shown on these stations.

We here in the Los Angeles area get more than that. In addition to all of those channels we also get buzzr, retrotv and aspire. Its too many to keep up with.

I don't get Buzzr or Decades...Cleveland seems to be the last city to get anything!

Well, You ain't missing anything. Decades never seems to show different classic shows. They play the same ones, throughout the week.

That's good to hear. I was under the impression that few stations outside of the midwest (which has the largest over-the-air viewership) cared about retro-channels.

I've been wondering if they won't overextend - there's only so many viewers for these shows. Where I am, it seems like all these stations are supported by ads from the same insurance company. Hard to imagine that'll continue indefinitely.

They most definitely are overextended. Add in the over-the-air frequency spectrum auction that is going to take place next March that will make the remaining digital real estate much more expensive, it's a recipe that will force a lot of the marginal networks out of existence.

Does anyone know if any of these are available through DirecTV? It doesn't look like it, if my quick searches were correct. I need something to supplement the old shows on TVLand, TBS, etc. :)

My directv does carry some of the channels. It kinda depends on the market. Also directv has a tuner (am21 tuner) that is compatible with their DVR's. With that I am able to pick up most of the channels.

And my Antenna affiliate is taking it away soon.

You're lucky if you even get one of these channels. I get some Cozi programming in the evening on FETV with Dish. I live in Indiana and I don't get any subchannels! :(

All these awesome channels and I get NONE of them. Even if I had an antenna I live so far in the sticks they wouldn't come in.

Well, I might be losing ME-TV but I have Antenna, Bounce, This TV. I think I'm getting Heroes and Icons soon but I would love to have Buzzr.

I have Antenna, MeTV, and Decades. I also have Bounce. I wish I had Laff but in Memphis we have Movies and Grit which I don't care a thing about.

LAFF is very underwhelming. The only thing I watch on there is Empty Nest.

And that's the exactly the reason I want it even though it's probably the only thing I would watch on there: Empty Nest.

I wish I were drowning in a sea of Retro channels. I'd be happy to have ME-TV and Buzzr. We get nothing with an antenna, our only option is a dish, maybe someday they'll have some retro channels but I doubt it.

RTV
Bounce
MeTV
AntennaTV

I thought I saw we got a new channel from Sony that shows Archie Bunker's Place and Charlie's Angels, but I couldn't find it on my lineup. Would love to get Buzzr and maybe Laff or Decades.

You need to move slightly northwest. The South Bend /Mishawaka market had been getting 6 of the networks the OP listed, and now with Decades, it's up to 7...! Back to the Naked City marathon on Decades for me! Woohoo!:)
