On "Community" the character Star-Burns faked his death at the end of season three. He returned in season five, where it was revealed to the school that he had faked his death. The audience, however, knew about it as far back as the season three finale.

In the finale of "The Office", which took place one year after the second to last episode of the series, saw Creed having faked his death.

My Name Is Earl - Earl faked his death to break up with a girl.
