I purchased the Laverne & Shirley DVD's and have been watching them and was wondering if it was me or are scenes missing. I seem to remember other song and dance scenes in the many Shotz Talent shows than appear on the series.

I seem to remember a song and dance done but Betty Garrett when they do the Christmas show, but you only see her in her costume later. And in the one Shotz talent show, Cindy Williams and Penny Marshall's real mothers do acts but it seems to also be deleted. :confused:

It's not you, there are some missing musical numbers in the DVDs. Unfortunately, TPTB deemed it cost prohibitive to pay the royalties on some of the music in the series and they either cut the scenes or redubbed generic studio music in it's place.

The best way to find the uncut musical numbers would be to purchase the Columbia House VHS tapes that were released prior to the royalties legislation. You can sometimes find them on Ebay. Good luck!
