No naysayers who say it wouldn't work. Only people who want to imagine...

Here's mine:

Host: Tom Bergeron or Norm MacDonald

Upper tier (left to right): Jerry Seinfeld, Joy Behar, Jim Parsons

Bottom tier (left to right): Wendi McLendon-Covey, Randall Park, Octavia
Spencer

Thats not bad. I wouldnt put Buregeon as the host. He's annoying, tries to be funny but he's not and he's overexposed. I dont know who'd put as the host. Thats a tough one.

Maybe the upper tier would be Cat Deely, Ross Matthews, Betty White.
Bottom tier maybe Leah Remini, Terrence Jenkins, Kevin James.

The host would be maybe be John O' Hurley.

Awful...John O'Hurley was fired from Family Feud for a reason. It's not true that he left or retired. He was given a pot full of money to get out and fast! He's boring and snooty. Not what Match Game needs...Sandy Duncan would be a better choice than him for host, and what does that tell you?!

Not even gonna go to the panelists...it can be better.

I like the idea of Norm MacDonald as the host. The thing is, I don't think it would work in today's society what made Match Game great in the 70s. Gene Rayburn was anything but politically correct and wasn't afraid to fawn over women contestants and panelists he found attractive. He just let himself go on the air. People these days would complain about the same behavior coming from a host. Too bad. Gene Rayburn was the least boring game show host in history. But Norm MacDonald has enough of a smart-alecky attitude to pull off being a good host for the modern Match Game. The only problem is would the suits let Norm be Norm. I doubt they would.

I agree - Gene Rayburn made the show so great, he would be very hard to replace in that respect.

I love Norm MacDonald, and I think he could do a great job, but apparently he isn't a big enough draw - I still can't understand why the Sports Show with Norm MacDonald wasn't successful; I am not a sports fan and half the time had NO IDEA who these people he was talking about were, but that show was a masterpiece of hilarity from the first second until its cancellation.

If they weren't already doing other game shows, I would say that Craig Ferguson or Drew Carey could be good hosts (I honestly think it would be a way better fit for Drew Carey than TPIR is).

for the panelists, that is harder to answer; I would like to see a mix of stars both old and new, with maybe 3 regulars and 3 that get switched out frequently. I do like a lot of the previous suggestions; Cat Deely, Ross Matthews, Betty White (all of the Hot in Cleveland gals should be welcome), Leah Remini, Terrence Jenkins, Kevin James, Octavia Spencer, Jim Parsons (and anyone else from TBBT), John Cryer, Holland Taylor, Melanie Lynskey, too many to think of really.

most importantly they need someone to fill Nipsey Russell's shoes - if that could ever be done. Actually, he died exactly 10 years ago yesterday :rip:
