With season 6 episodes coming up soon on Antenna TV, thought I'd mention that this season has only 21 episodes. If I recall, there was a problem with the writers prior to the 1980-81 TV season which affected the three major networks, and shows that year ended up with shorter seasons. Only about 20 episodes, when 24 to 26 episodes was normal for that time.
It was the writers strike that changed Valerie Bertinelli's life. It was during that strike she met Eddie. If she had to be at work all that time, things could have been totally different.
