Do you have a favorite? I'll dig deep with Kung Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas.
JO Sweet Heart 09-25-2015, 09:45 PM I pray that his one hit wonder status does not last forever because there is so much more to James than just this song! :) :) :)

My Sharona - The Knack
None of these were one hit wonders.
C.W. McCall peaked at #40 with "Wolf Creek Pass"
Ozark Mountain Daredevils peaked at #25 with "If You Wanna Get to Heaven"
The Knack peaked at #11 with "Good Girls Don't" & #38 with "Baby Talks Dirty"
The Night Chicago Died - Paper Lace
Interesting note about Paper Lace- They had the original Billy, Don't Be a Hero, which they took to No. 1 in England, but in the US they were upstaged by Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods.

Adding support for MacArthur Park. Who can resist all the sweet, green icing flowing down?

The instrumentals in the song are great! MacArthur Park has sentimental value for me. It was out in the summer of '68 right after I graduated from high school and it reminds me of the good times I had riding around in my future husband's '67 Chevy Super Sport convertible. That song was played a lot on the radio back then. I love it! Ah.......... memories..................:)

Don't get me wrong...I like those songs too.
Not many people like "MacArthur Park"...my mom hates that song!
PS-The Association was originally going to sing "MacArthur Park".
