About Teen Girls. "On so many shows, they portray teens, especially teen girls, as these idiots. Rowan Blanchard, the super smart, 13-year-old star of Girl Meets World, has a bone to pick with the way girls are typically shown on TV. In an interview with MTV, she explained what most shows get totally wrong, and why she's so thankful to be on a show that gets it right.

"Look at the way that we're portrayed in a lot of kids' TV!" she said. "That's why I'm very proud of my show because on so many shows, they portray teens, but especially teen girls, as these idiots. It's all about boys. 'I love boys, and I hate all of my best friends. They're all so mean.'"

She has a serious point. Sure, it's normal to occasionally get snippy after an argument with a friend, or to have your head in the clouds over a crush, but you don't walk around 24/7 hating your girlfriends and obsessing over guys, right? A crush might be, like, the fourth-most important priority on any given day, after acing your chem test, splitting a tray of cheese fries with your best friend at lunch, and giving your all at soccer practice after school.

She added, "Why would you want those kinds of girls to be representing us on television when I can name you 200,000 of my Twitter followers who are well-grounded, brave and strong girls?"

Earlier this year, Rowan wrote an essay about the intersection of feminism and race that went viral. It's clearly a topic that means a lot to her, and she told MTV how excited she is about an upcoming Girl Meets World episode about feminism called "Girl Meets Sludge."

"The statistics of young girls in math and science is much lower than boys, so we did an episode about that, about the gender bias against girls in science," she said. "It's great that we can use our platform to talk about these issues because they're important and they're affecting young people."

She also talked to the show's writers about adding a gay or lesbian character for next season and doing an episode about racism in order to shine light on stories that affect all viewers, not just the ones who identify with stories about straight, white characters.

Rowan, we <3 you. Can't wait to keep watching Girl Meets World to see stories that REALLY bring teens to life.

^^^ I guess that I can understand why a gay character would be added since there are people in reality who live the homosexual life, but if a character to acknowledge it is not written in, I will not be broken up over it because I don't believe that certain things should be given a stamp of approval when the Lord's word says that them things are wrong.

God bless you and Rowan always!!! :) :) :)

P.S. Yes I am well aware that a lot of people don't agree with where I stand on the matter, but that is pretty much how it is for everyone when speaking about anything. No one is going to agree on anything. All that we can do is say and do whatever makes sense to us which is what I have done here. :) :) :)
