One thing that was established here a long time ago was the fact that Kari Michaelsen who played Katie from this series was born in 1961. In various attempts to stimulate some conversation, I have measured her birth against other events that also happened that year. One thing that I have written quite a bit about is the fact that two other babes that I admire were also given life that year. These two chicks are Lea Thompson and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. In more recent times, I have mentioned how John Rogers was also born that year. For those of you who are unfamiliar with him, he was the second son and last child of Fred Rogers from "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood". Well, earlier today, I was flipping through a magazine and learned about yet another event that took place in 1961. It appears that this is the year that the musical group known as the Beatles signed their first recording contract! Is anyone here a Beatles fan? In the same article, I learned another very interesting tidbit about the Beatles. I always thought that Ringo Starr had always been the drummer of this group. Well, this article taught me that, at the very beginning, that band's drummer was a man called Pete Best! Ringo came along in 1962. Amazing!
