Jason Alexander Joins "The Grinder"

Jason Alexander is joining the cast of Fox's upcoming comedy "The Grinder".

The "Seinfeld" alum will play Cliff Beamis, an egomaniacal tough-guy who is the writer/creator of the series' show-within-a-show.



Lowe shared the news of Alexander's casting on Twitter late Tuesday night.

"TV legend Jason Alexander will play the writer/creator of "The Grinder," the egomaniac and ersatz tough-guy Cliff Beamis. Welcome aboard!"



There's no word on how frequent Alexander will appear.

"The Grinder" premieres Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 8:30/7:30c on Fox.
