Judy Sheindlin, the Guinness World Record holder for “Longest Running TV Judge," says of her milestone: “For me it’s a fantasy, and the most interesting thing is that [Judge Judy] has stayed a relevant program on TV for 20 years. Do I understand it? No. I don’t understand a lot of things going on today. I think it’s some sort of synergistic thing with America — something about plain-speak and linear thinking and getting from point A to point B.”

From the time Judge Judy premiered it was clear that TV court shows would gain even more popularity and when Judge Judy debuted she brought a whole new attitude to court shows and who knew that Judge Judy would become a bonafide star in TV. My mom and I used to watch Judge Judy when it used to have good cases but if you look at Judge Judy today the episodes have cases with titles such as "Help Me I Have To Move Out Of My Apartment Due To My Noisy Dog" or "Wedding Fiasco" and it seems that cases that involve car crashes or weddings gone wrong and even moving with pets seem to be the popular cases on Judge Judy. But it's a surprise that Judge Judy is still a favorite TV judge in daytime TV and I hope that Judge Judy will still be a TV favorite for years to come and maybe do another judge show in the future
