Twitter has been flooded with posts - check the hashtags #GoldenGirls and #GoldenGirls30. Lots of fun going on...

It's a shame NBC hasn't acknowledged it (as far as I have seen).

The Golden Girls was such a great show. One more thing. In TMC's link, not the CBSNews link, the other one, if you read the article, they embedded the Golden Girls season 1 theme. I dont think thats it. The graphics are all wrong. Am I wrong?

Youre right... That is definitely a fan-created piece. The true first season theme had a different skyline than what we are all used to.

Seems like the 80s nostalgia pages do that more...would be cool to see networks acknowledge their history more though...

Thank You for Being a Friend was "just this little throwaway thing” written in 1978. PLUS: Ranking every Golden Girls episode (http://rankings.gawker.com/golden-girls-episodes-ranked-1633984767).

I disagree with the person's rankings. I would say 1-8 I wouldnt put any of them in my 1-8. I think To Catch a Neighbor would be one of my highest one.

I guess if I had to rank quickly my top 5 GG episodes:

1)The Break-In
2) Guess Who's Coming to the Wedding
3)The Pilot Episode
4)To Catch a Neighbor
5)A Little Romance

To be fair, I liked the whole series its just the top 5 are from season 1 and one from season 2.
