It seems most stores have replaced it with Buy One, Get One 50% Off. I first noticed it at CVS about two or so years back, where I would make a killing with getting two for the price of one combined with coupons.
I even see Buy Two, Get One Free! I guess it couldn't last forever. I still see BOGO Free occasionally, but not enough. :(
Thoughts?

Come to think of it ,yeah you are right! You don't see buy one get one free like you did in the past! :(

Buy One Get One free was cool. I miss that too. You're right, now it's buy one get one half price. The buy 2 get 1 free doesn't seem like much of a deal.
It used to be nice with BOGO on vitamins. They are expensive and it was nice to off set the cost with that.

BOGO at Payless shoes seems like such a good deal ,but it is always the very marked down already on sale cheaper shoes or other items that you are getting half priced it seems!

I'm not crazy about Buy 1 get 1 50% but if I have coupons and CVS has a good extra bucks offer then I'll do it.
OH Nuts!

I'd much rather see it be 25% off one, so I'm not forced to buy two. Or 50% for the version that seems to be disappearing. Maybe stores think they're being cute with these "newer" versions of BOGO- but consumers do realize that the sales tend to be worse these days. Maybe it's higher rents or operating costs motivating the new trend.
Several stores around here used to have those sales all the time but you hardly ever see them anymore. You do see the buy one get one 50% off quite a bit. I really miss those good deals.

Hot Topic does this a lot with their stuff because of course you can't have too many hats and T-shirts.
