When did UNSOLVED MYSTERIES become the most discussed show at a site called Sitcoms Online-All Sitcoms, All the time.At least it looks that way. Just curious.

I'm not sure exactly, but when I joined back in 2001 The Facts of Life was by far the most discussed series here. In fact, the main reason that I ended up taking an extended hiatus from this site is because of the annoying FOL obsessed adolescents that seemed to dominate this site at the time. I don't think Unsolved Mysteries even had a board here back then.

do I detect a little resentment there?

I think it has largely to do with the sheer volume of episodes/segments (15 years worth), the high number of updates to cases since the series stopped producing new episodes, the high number of people related to a case posting, the relative importance of keeping such a board alive (due to the subject nature), as well as the 2 spin-off forums that talk about all other true crime shows and cases.

That's it in a nutshell.

the Unsolved Mysteries board has been a constant here from the beginning, and it doesn't get as crazy as some of the sites out there devoted to the show.

The Facts of Life and Happy Days boards were very popular back in the old days, but both boards had thousands of (off-topic) posts and threads removed when the Random board was created

Not my intention. It was more of a "what if I went to a baseball site and the Dallas Cowboys were the main interest" type of question.

That's how I read it.

I noticed lots of posts on UM on here too! I used to LOVE that show. Wish I could remember some of the eps more and participate here!

I LOVE ID channel and watch a lot, I noticed some threads here on that, IDK why I don't post more there?

Haha ha! I remember the Nancy McKeon wars! Yes, this board was filled with FOL fans! It would be really funny sometimes when Nancy would be put down as a no talent(totally false!) Man did those kids go nuts! This is one of my many good/fun memories of SO's early days! :D

Yeah, I remember being really baffled by it all and it got to the point that this site wasn't enjoyable for me anymore. I remember there being one particular post that finally made me say "that's it, I'm taking a break!" There was one girl that was about 14 and she had waaayyy more posts than anyone else. She was a FOL fanatic, of course. I don't remember her name, but she's long gone, just like almost all of the rest of the FOL/Nancy cult.
