Forgive me if this has already been posted, but I just saw this story again where he tried to kill his ex fiance Barbara. Look at this guy! This is our guy correct?

That's him, someone posted that site years ago. There's some 2014 videos featuring him on a certain site. Amazon also has a copy of his book (hthttp://www.amazon.com/Richard-L-Minns-Incredible-Sculpture/dp/B002BWVT4G) for the incredibly low price of $75.00.

You get the feeling that if you went to his house, there'd be mirrors and photographs of him all over the place.

OMG. Thanks for the laugh, Kamy. :)

And yes, that's our guy. Anyone else remember the "totally 80's" cake with their picture airbrushed on it? Little piece of UM gold right there...

Was he ever forced to pay some of the settlement? I sure hope so.

Adrian Franks of Houston, Texas, born in 1961 died in 2018.

"Adrian Franks, who worked for Bell, tapped Piotrowski's phone and recorded her calls.5  As Franks also monitored Piotrowski's comings and goings, he knew what she looked like and what car she drove.   While Franks was spying on Piotrowski, Bell offered him $10,000 to kill her.   Franks agreed.   Bell supplied Franks with a packet of information on Piotrowski which included a police-style mug shot of her that could have been taken when she was interrogated by Fincher and Wells.

Franks installed a kill switch on Piotrowski's car in July.6  Fortunately, the device did not function properly.   Piotrowski's car stalled, but she was not hurt.   The police initially thought the device was a bomb...."

Was he ever forced to pay some of the settlement? I sure hope so.

According to the UM wiki page, "Piotrowski did win a $58-million dollar civil judgment against Minns and others for the attempted murder. On appeal this was overturned on technical grounds."

Those links about his sculptures, his fitness, water skiing records with his son (good GOD, he continued having children) and all the lauding of this man are nauseating as hell. He should have been in prison but spent the rest of his years living the good life with his millions, his women, and a ton of fawning. It's disgusting.

This is one episode I hate to watch because it reminds me how some people know how to game the system and make their victims look like abusers. Can't say I am surprised to see how ju$tice was not $erved in the ca$e: I had to deal with someone similar on a much smaller scale as a teenager: the person who terrorized me had money, connections and no conscience whatsoever.

On a related note, I have to say I love the acting the two police officers did when they arrested Barbara: they really nailed the "we know who the scumbag really is but we have to follow the warrant". I am all for the police taking male victims of domestic violence seriously but she was charged with aggravated assault for a purse slap? What a joke this case was.

Agreed. So did he kill the great white sharks with his bare hands?

Welcome to the boards! That link is upsetting, but I’m glad you shared it!
