NBC’s "America’s Got Talent", the most watched summer broadcast series for a decade running, has been picked up for an eleventh season to air next summer.

In lieu of an official renewal announcement, NBC today set audition dates for Season 11, which will visit 12 cities around the country from November 2015-February 2016 in search of undiscovered entertainers of all ages.

“Following the landmark 10th anniversary season, we’re looking forward to discovering the next decade of exceptionally talented acts, beginning with season 11 auditions this fall,” EP Sam Donnelly said.

No official word yet whether Nick Cannon will return as host and Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum as judges.

Howard Stern announced earlier this summer that he would be leaving after a four-year stint behind the judging table. Production of AGT had been moved to New York for Stern. There had been talk of bringing it back to Los Angeles if he is no longer on the show.

AGT, now in its 10th season, is produced by FremantleMedia North America and Syco Entertainment. Simon Cowell, Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff, Trish Kinane and Richard Wallace are the executive producers.

"America’s Got Talent" joins NBC’s other popular summer reality series, "American Ninja Warrior", which also has been renewed for next year.

Wow. I'm watching the season 10 America's Got Talent finale now and Howard Stern announced that he is leaving the show [as mentioned in the above article].

I've enjoyed the show over the last 10 years and will continue to. :)

I cannot figure out why America's Got Talent continues to be such a huge summer hit and I think America's Got Talent started to go downhill when they added Howard Stern and Mel B and model Heidi Klum to be judges and now America's Got Talent has also turned itself into an American Idol like show. When I first heard about America's Got Talent and when Mom and I saw the first episode of Season 1 it reminded me of The Gong Show because of the way the judges judged the contestants. Another thing about America's Got Talent that I cannot figure out why they did it is why did Howie Mandel join the cast of America's Got Talent? When Howie Mandel debuted on America's Got Talent my interest in Howie Mandel went downhill. I think now with Simon Cowell now part of the America's Got Talent cast I think the show's ratings will go downhill or skyrocket because I think NBC wants to get huge ratings for it's summer shows and America's Got Talent will prove it in this season

America's Got Talent is a favorite show of mine, partly because there's a variety of acts (not just singers) and partly because Nick Cannon and the judges are funny. This is a good way to spend a couple of hours a week just chilling out.
