Goes all the way to 8:30pm eastern.
BigManMike 08-31-2015, 10:43 AM Nice to see Too Close for Comfort back on weekdays. Too bad I can't watch it because those idiots are crunching the credits. I just hope they don't crunch Family Ties.
BigManMike 08-31-2015, 11:25 AM Family Ties is on at a great time for me. Just please don't crunch the credits. Sit Ubu Sit. Good dog.
Bonniegirl 08-31-2015, 02:53 PM Yeah . Poor Ubu, we don't want him getting crunched!

mets82 08-31-2015, 03:51 PM I've never heard of My Mother the Car. I have to say Sunday afternoons look pretty good for both Antenna and ME-TV. I wonder why they would load up there lineup with the NFL in season.

I've heard of My mother the car , but never seen it! I'm looking forward to checking it out!:) I'm kinda bummed they are taking Flipper off, but I like the Flying nun! ;)
biffbronson 08-31-2015, 06:19 PM Wow, they're really going heavy on The Three Stooges on weekend mornings!
It's a sad time for Sally Field fans as I don't see Flying Nun anywhere on the new sked, and Gidget being gone too. :(
Disappointing overall for me -- I was hoping Newhart would get a better time slot on Mon.-Fri. (not 1 a.m. eastern!).

Yeah! The Flying nun is on Saturdays replacing Flipper! 3PM Eastern time! Gidget, I guess is off!
Love that Barney Miller is going back to late nights...something nice to come home to after I get off work. Same for Family Ties.
Would love if Antenna TV ditched the credit crunches and actually got some real commercials, but I suppose I can live with it. :p

I like Barney Miller, but where I am it is going to come on at 9PM and that is when they play the local news on Antenna TV here! :( I got to enjoy it if I was around the house when it is on at 3PM PST! ;) I only recently got into this show, I remember it as a teenager and thought it was for "old people" cause my Mom & Dad liked it, and I really didn't watch it than! But it really is a cool, funny show! ;)
treky 09-01-2015, 12:39 AM I won't be able to see BARNEY MILLER because our local affiliate shows a rerun of the 10:00 news from midnight to 1 am:( :( :(
Bonniegirl 09-01-2015, 01:04 AM I won't be able to see BARNEY MILLER because our local affiliate shows a rerun of the 10:00 news from midnight to 1 am:( :( :(
YUP!!! Same here, with the damn local news!
BigManMike 09-01-2015, 08:04 AM I find Barney Miller to be boring. I don't know why but I just can't get into it for some reason. I don't find it funny at all. But I like the theme song.
tlc38tlc38 09-01-2015, 08:34 AM I'm glad they didn't move or remove "Small Wonder" on Saturday. When I take my break at work on Saturday I like to watch "SW". I can't get the channel at home but my work gets it. I'm also happy to see "Mr. Belvedere" on at 2PM and 2:30PM on Saturday----I might be able to catch a few of these episodes ever now and then.
icecream 09-01-2015, 12:22 PM This schedule I would say is an improvement. Family Ties 7 nights a week in primetime is excellent, and I like Newhart getting weekend primetime slots back. Mr. Belvedere's weekend slots are upgraded as well as staying in a good place weekdays. I will check out My Mother the Car. The downsides: The Patty Duke Show completely leaving the schedule (not that I was able to see it much at 9AM), Barney Miller being downgraded, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Jack Benny Program being stuck at horrible times.
Mr. Television 09-02-2015, 06:37 PM I wish they didn't take off Patty Duke.
Jamey Greek 09-03-2015, 09:36 PM Yeah . Poor Ubu, we don't want him getting crunched!

I even had an Ubu from 1999-2011! He was a small white Maltese. Unlike this Ubu.
TVFactFan 09-03-2015, 09:54 PM OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 good things
1. Barney Miller comes on at 12am which means I no longer have to care about local news at that time
2. Jeffersons comes on at 8pm!!!! Beautiful Time
3. Family Times comes on at a nice sampling time!!....10pm
icecream 09-11-2015, 12:22 AM I just found out my CBS affiliate is dropping Antenna TV from their .2 station after October 10. Screw you Wane-TV!!!  :soapbox:

damm, sorry to hear that
icecream 10-15-2015, 08:48 AM Wane decided to keep Antenna TV for a few more months. So instead of ending on October 10 it will go away after December 31. I'll still get to see Hitch-o-ween at least but will still lose Antenna right before they start Johnny Carson. :(
MichaelKeith 10-15-2015, 05:23 PM I hope the schedule Johnny Carson for sometime during the primetime evening viewing hours so I can watch it!!!
icecream 10-15-2015, 05:48 PM I hope the schedule Johnny Carson for sometime during the primetime evening viewing hours so I can watch it!!!Johnny Carson will be 7 nights a week. 60 minute episodes weeknights at 11PM and 90 minute episodes weekends at 10PM.

That gives you a little more time ,but still that's a shame. I'm sorry you won't be getting Antenna anymore! :(

I agree. Too much Sanford and Son, Good Times, and Jeffersons for my liking.

And One Day at a time
Pavan 11-22-2015, 08:19 PM It has new shows like Webster, Wings, Dear John, Mork & Mindy...
Bonniegirl 11-22-2015, 08:29 PM I think it seems OK, at least it has a variety of shows and not a marathon of just one show like Antenna is notorious for doing on holidays!

I seen enough of One day at a time, good times, and sanford and son not to watch Antenna TV on Christmas eve and Christmas day

Our family tradition is to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation LOL

Eddie was a BOSS:lol:
BigManMike 11-22-2015, 09:30 PM Well I certainly won't be watching because I hate that awful credit crunch. And I hope all the Antenna TV employees get coal in their stockings this Christmas for crunching the credits.
mets82 11-22-2015, 10:51 PM Maybe I will watch the marathon depending upon the show. BTW, seems kind of odd that as soon as they start with the credit crunch, they get more affliates. This kind of reeks of TVLand.
chriszme 11-22-2015, 10:54 PM All with split screen credits.

mistermike 11-23-2015, 12:10 AM All with split screen credits.
Speaking as someone who lost his ME-TV affiliate in early October, it's better to have split screens and the show than no show at all. Trust me.
BigManMike 11-23-2015, 08:00 AM Speaking as someone who lost his ME-TV affiliate in early October, it's better to have split screens and the show than no show at all. Trust me.
I'd rather have nothing at all than split screen credits. I can't stand them.
OH Nuts! 11-23-2015, 09:39 AM I guess my line in the sand is: Am I paying for this? If it's a cable channel I'm paying for, then yes, there should be no gaps like missing credits, split screens and the like.
I know these things are important to some, but for a free classic channel to come along, with many shows I thought would never see the light of day--well it's hard for me to be critical. I love Antenna - but there really should be a nostalgia channel that gives a viewer everything - nothing missing - even if there 's a cost for it. Sadly, many "premium" channels are lacking even in comparison to free ones.
(On boxed sets, when commercials, credits or episodes are cut from a cherished show, yes THAT is annoying. INFURIATING if the set is costly. And when you're a real fan of a show who try's to collect, you do notice this things.)
mets82 11-23-2015, 11:42 AM Dont misunderstand. I still like Antenna. They have a great lineup. Its just that the credits stuff bothers me.
icecream 11-23-2015, 02:10 PM I'd rather have nothing at all than split screen credits. I can't stand them.I would gladly take your affiliate off your hands if I could. I'm someone who enjoys the channel and wanted to see Johnny Carson yet my idiot affiliate is removing it soon. Meanwhile someone like you is lucky enough to keep Antenna TV and doesn't even appreciate it.
BigManMike 11-23-2015, 02:55 PM But what also bothers me is that they went back on their word. They clearly stated when they first launched that they would not crunch the credits and now they've gone back on their word. I don't care if it's free, they didn't keep their promise. I wouldn't care if I lost it. I would much rather have Laff, even if Empty Nest is the only show I would watch on there, because they don't crunch the credits. I would also rather have Buzzr.

Regarding your appreciation of Antenna, you're singing to the choir. I'm so grateful I get this great FREE station. I never ever thought in a million years I'd see shows like Bachelor Father, The Patty Duke Show , and My Mother The Car ever again.

I wish they'd bring Bachelor Father and Patty Duke back.
OH Nuts! 11-23-2015, 06:07 PM I wish they'd bring Bachelor Father and Patty Duke back.
You never know; they might. Leave It To Beaver left for a year (or two) and has returned. Great shows like these aired in abundance; honestly, for me it's a great station.
chriszme 11-23-2015, 07:45 PM I rather not have it and am not watching it even though I do. You can mine.
No it is better to have it on dvd where it can not be split screened
Speaking as someone who lost his ME-TV affiliate in early October, it's better to have split screens and the show than no show at all. Trust me.
Mr. Television 11-23-2015, 08:09 PM I would even prefer it if they just messed with the ending theme like other channels do. Leave the opening theme alone and start the shows on time. You always got to adjust your DVR to record that channel or you'll miss the ending.

Yeah!! I'm with you guys!!! You take the good with the bad ! I'd rather not have the credit crunch, but I'm glad to have Antenna to see all the great old shows!!! ;)

They said at the time that they wouldn't crunch the credits, but did they ever actually say they wouldn't EVER do it? Just saying. I'm with the others. Just grateful to have it and to be able to see the shows, credit crunching or no.
mistermike 11-23-2015, 10:55 PM Dont misunderstand. I still like Antenna. They have a great lineup. Its just that the credits stuff bothers me.
Yeah, it bothers me too, and I wish they didn't do it. But the idea of not watching the channel at all over it is just something I don't get. It's not like this channel is just showing Three's Company, All in the Family and Bewitched. They're showing us stuff that hasn't seen the TV airwaves in YEARS -- stuff like Jack Benny, Burns & Allen, One Day at a Time, Mr. Belvedere, Too Close for Comfort....I could go on and on. And soon they're adding Dear John, of all shows. There's a lot to like about this channel, and the people on here who just won't watch it all because of the credit crunch....I just don't understand it.

I don't get it either, but to each their own. Maybe it's worth it to some folks to shell out $$$ for bell and whistle DVD/Blue Ray sets and/ or (dubious) "premium" cable channels.
But I'm with you, I just LOVE the amazing variety of shows Antenna presents. And their marathons are to die for--often 24+ hours! Antenna may not be 100.00% --but in my book it gets AT LEAST a 95! Nobody's gonna change my mind about it being an EXTRAORDINARY station!

YES!!! Long live Antenna and METV!!!! ;) What I don't like about these channels is the sad animal abuse commercials and the Cancer center commercials!!! :( The credit crunch isn't as bad as this! But I still like Antenna and METV !!! ;)

Yes, watching a funny show and the commercial comes on about cancer
Makes no f*cking sense
What I don't like about these channels is the sad animal abuse commercials and the Cancer center commercials!!!
Heck, if they showed the original unedited network versions of shows, I'd let them run animals with cancer commercials.

I guess Antenna has to do what it's got to do to bring in the revenue to keep itself free. Never said Antenna was perfect. Most of the commercials that come on for my Antenna shows are hawking some worthless gadget that the presenter promises will part the Red Sea and cure poverty--and only for $19.99 plus shipping and handling lol. The cancer or animal abuse commercials seldom seem to come on during the time slots I watch.

You've never seen the ads for the nearly pain free catheters? Key word there of course being nearly.
treky 11-24-2015, 02:53 AM well, at least on ALL IN THE FAMILY they only do the split screen on the ending and not for the first 10 seconds of it. But as soon as they start doing it with the entire ending AND the opening, I'm going to stop watching the channel (currently, AITF is all I watch on there)

They don't do it on AITF because it's shown during prime time. If it was on outside of 7-11 PM, they would do it the entire ending.
And I could care less what commercials they show. I really don't think anything of them. And as much as I despised movies on this network, maybe they should have kept them on more, even if I never watched them, because possibly they were cheaper and least they weren't crunching credits then.
OH Nuts! 11-24-2015, 08:22 AM You've never seen the ads for the nearly pain free catheters? Key word there of course being nearly.
I missed that one; my commercials are often for burial insurance or ambulance chasing law firms, plus the "magical" gadgets that are probably one or two rungs above worthless junk.

I agree with you. I was getting ready to go somewhere with my uncle this weekend and he gets Antenna TV and I don't. I watched Three's Compsny and Mr. Belvedere and really the credit crunch isn't so bad. I'd rather not have the credit crunch at all but still. They also acquired Johnny Carson reruns! Full episodes at that!
Vahan 11-24-2015, 10:59 AM Maybe I'm missing, why the great need to see the credits? I look actors up on the imdb website all the time, but don't see why I'd need to see the name on the screen. It's not unusual for imdb to list actors who went uncredited in the original program.
End credits ARE important to any movie and TV show. They show you everyone who worked hard on what you just saw. And sometimes, you get a bonus for not leaving early, like here for Airplane! (1980), according to IMDB:
The closing credits are followed by a brief scene of California tax revolt leader Howard Jarvis in the abandoned taxi from earlier in the film, still waiting for the driver to come back and saying "Well, I'll give him another twenty minutes, but that's it!"
Bonniegirl 11-24-2015, 11:13 AM You've never seen the ads for the nearly pain free catheters? Key word there of course being nearly.

Jamey Greek 11-24-2015, 01:02 PM End credits ARE important to any movie and TV show. They show you everyone who worked hard on what you just saw.
Yea, I mean. A Television show just doesn't appear magically and you can't just slap a tv show onto the screen. TV shows take a lot of hard work and it takes a lot of people to give you a quality show. From the producers, to the writers, to the directors, to the music composers, the set designers, all those people.
And sometimes, you get a bonus for not leaving early, like here for Airplane! (1980), according to IMDB:
I was watching Eddie Murphy get the Mark Twain prize , and even PBS did some credit crunching, so it's everywhere.
BigManMike 11-24-2015, 02:58 PM The main reason I can't stand credit crunches is because I love the closing music so much and for me I need the music to enjoy it. Not having the closing music ruins it for me. Plus, I don't like the split screen thing they do during most of the day. I want to finish one show before I start another. I don't like the closing of one on the left and the opening of another on the right.

I'll agree with that!! Although I really don't mind the credit crunches that much, I do miss hearing the closing music! :(

well, I read that they do it on FAMILY TIES and THE JEFFERSONS
BigManMike 11-24-2015, 09:05 PM well, I read that they do it on FAMILY TIES and THE JEFFERSONS
Yes and that's why I quit watching. When Family Ties first started in September the ads were only 5-10 seconds toward the end and I put up with that. But then they started making the ads longer and longer until finally there wasn't much music to hear at all so I have quit watching. And they do the split screen with it on weekends so I never watched then.

I don't think anyone disagrees with you, there's just varying degrees of how much it bothers them.

For me it's the other way around. I can live with the bad commercials, but I just loathe that credit crunch.
OH Nuts! 11-25-2015, 05:24 PM Yeah the commercials are worse than the credit crunches IMO!!! ;)
Yes, the commercials are a bit of a pain, but I usually watch Antenna from burned DVDs, so I just fast forward through most of the commercials.
