Which time period had the best sitcoms? I dsay the 70s and 90s and maybe the 50s.

Without a doubt, the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. The 1990's had the worst sitcoms.

60s and 70s. I think the 80s was the worst.

Definitely the late 70's and all of 80's!

50's-80's the early 90's were okay, but TV has really gone down since then. There are Seldomly any family shows anymore.

'50s (the golden age of star-powered comedy) and '70s (golden age of the great ensemble cast). The '60s were the worst (a zillion lame gimmick shows), followed by the '80s (a zillion lame cheap formulaic family sitcoms). The '90s were at least better than the '80s.

70's, and 80's were great.

My favorite decades are:

-and the 90's
