You scared of needles?

Personally I'm not. I been poked and stabbed so many times and taken so many blood tests it's not even funny. When I was in 4th grade I would get like blood drawn once or twice a week. And than in 6th grade I was tested so many times because, I swear, my mom had a new theroy on why I was sick every week so I would get tested to see if I had what she thought I did. And in 7th still more tests very often, I would go to Children's Hospital in Boston every Monday afternoon. Plus I have my ears pierced and there's also another reason why I'm not scared of needles but I don't wanna get into that soooooo........... whatever!

So, yes or no, are you afraid of needles and why?

OMG...absolutely TERRIFIED!! I kno they don't hurt that much...like I have had blood drawn and it doesn't hurt, and I have my ears pierced. But it is the anticipation that gets my all freaked out. Also, my dad was removing somethin from my ankle (he is a doctor) and it hurt soooooooo freakin much! I m so scared of 'em!

I despise em. They should die. I WILL KILL THEM!! KEEEEEEEEL THE NEEDLES!!!

OMG! I'm deathly scared of them! I know that they don't hurt, but I always clench my muscles right before, and they tell you not to do that, but I always do. I cry when they tell me that I'm gonna have to have a shot next time I come to the doctors!!

Shots dont bother me but I'd be scared to get anything pierced.

OMG i hate needles!!!! They freak me out gosh i hate getting shots!!! omg i stepped on a staple today in my room..i was barefoot and i stepped on a staple lol luckily it didn't hurt me. i was like owwwww hahha ok anyway....

I totally hate needles.

When I was getting an injection recently I barely slept nights before worrying about it and then I passed out for around 20 seconds afterwards.

I hate anything medical.

I am there sharp lol

I hate them! It's worse when you get them in your wrist for an IV. God that hurts.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that I'm scared of needles but I certainly don't like them. I guess that stems back to the time when I had to go into hospital and I was given numerous blood tests. I was suffering from anorexia at the time and, due to the fact that I was so under weight, I kept practically passsing out every time they took my blood. It wasn't a great time for me and I've had a kinda problem with needles ever since.
I'm not scared of them - I just don't like them that much.

In a word: petrified. However, I'm only petrified if they're about to enter my skin, if they're gonna enter someone elses skin I just get sick feeling. Aye, I don't claim to be normal:rolleyes:

I am petrified. I get blood drawn a lot, especially I've been very sick over the past 2 years. I've had mono twice in the past 3 years, still have it... bronchitus about 3 times, strep throat about 7 times, and just a buncha stuff. I hate them.

When I get pierced, I need someone to hold me down

Needles are just needles. Even when I was little I was never scared. They're just needles!:rolleyes:

I'm not actually scared of needles, but they are pretty unpleasant. One time when I was a senior in high school, I had to have a hepatitis (sp) shot at school. I got my shot and I'm heading back to class. I'm walking by this big heavy door which someone suddenly throws open, right on my arm in the place I got the shot! OOUUCCHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes and no...

see my family has a history of diabeties so i had to get tested in like 6the grade. well the lady poked me like 5 times and then she finally got my vien and the blood was drawn...that was soo painful. then a day later they called me and said i might drop dead of a heart attack or sumthin so i had to go to the hospital to get some more blood tested, then they found out nothing was wrong. i have not taken a blood test since then. i absolutely hate them.

shots on the other hand i can stand-like chickenpoks shot, or hepatits...those weren't painful...:D

I hate needles I mean everytime my mom says I've got to go and get a shot I try to run and hide. When I got my hepatitis B shot that didn't hurt it stung but that's about it but last year when I got my cold and flu shot I could still feel it the next day my arm was pretty sore but that's probably because I had my arm really tense when my mom gave me that shot.
