View Full Version : Archie's brother was a dirty old man LOL
TVFactFan 08-17-2015, 09:24 PM Married a 18 year old and he was in his damm 50's. I couldn't even date anyone 18 when I was 32 so I can't even imagine being in my 50s. I like younger woman but only about 11 years younger not 20 or more.
He could have been her damm grandfather

Yeah ! And if I'm remembering correctly, he didn't have a whole heck of a lot of money, and she didn't really look like the gold digger type, right?
More like just an average older middle aged man and an average looking young girl right?
Maybe she had "Daddy issues" and was looking for an older man because she didn't feel loved by her Father as a little girl! :( And he was like Hey OK , this is OK with me, how cool a young girl would like me ! ;)
biffbronson 08-18-2015, 08:32 AM As a 50-year-old guy myself, I can't imagine being in a serious relationship with a teenager -- no matter how attractive she might be.
It's a little ironic this thread has come up right now, because just the other day I caught a glimpse of someone pretty hot in a store, and was having a difficult time telling how old she might be. A few minutes later, she went over to a 40-ish, unattractive woman and called her mom...! Stopped any of my interest COLD.
There's a lot of truth in what Bonniegirl wrote, about a guy liking the idea a much younger woman is interested in him. But for me personally, an 18-year-old would be way to flighty and immature to seriously consider romancing.

THAT is correct. She was average looking mainly the girl next door type

It happens a lot, but it usually involves money and/or fame. You very rarely see the local high school cheerleader hook up with the 50 year old night janitor down at the Wal-Mart.

Exactly! If a young girl is with an older man he usually will have money , if he doesn't than the girl usually will be looking for love from an older man that she never got from her Father! :( As I posted before 'Daddy issues" ! :(
cleverfun3000 08-18-2015, 03:54 PM So basically, what this thread is telling me is that my last 3 girlfriends only wanted me for my money. . . .

Well IDK! Depending on how old you are, and how much money you make! What do you do for a living?
biffbronson 08-18-2015, 06:35 PM It would be the extremely rare teenage girl who would give me the time of day -- I mean it's not like I have Cary Grant or Rock Hudson looks. So they're never going to have the opportunity to find out how much money I've accumulated (or that I have my own house for that matter). I don't wear sandwich boards listing my bank balances!!
I have to admit that I've fantasized many times about taking a much younger woman home and impressing her with stuff like "you won't have to work" or "you could live in this nice neighborhood," but all of that presumes she's interested right off, to want to learn about me.
The last time I really hit it off well with a relatively young woman in real life, one of her friends ruined things by warning her not only that a relationship wouldn't work, but that she should get me to stay away altogether!!! (I've come to learn that a woman's closest friend is oftentimes my worst enemy.)
Torgo 08-18-2015, 06:44 PM My daughter is almost 18. I can't even imagine what it would be like if she brought home a guy my age or older.

From a guys (especially father) point of view, that's probably the freaky part.
king of comedy 08-18-2015, 07:22 PM Me date a teen?! No way!! I don't think so. He could have found somebody in her late 30s at least.
visaman666 08-18-2015, 07:47 PM I am 50 too, and I tell you the mothers are better looking to me than their daughters. Don't tell the daughters that though

Bless your heart! ;) :) It's nice to hear a man that feels that way! Yep. we are like fine wine, get better with age! :D

I'm 34. I agree, a lot of Baby Boomer women are better looking than Millennials, especially because Baby Boomer women are less likely to be covered with tattoos and pierced noses.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of tattoos or nose piercings.
A lot of women look great these days after age 50. They're going to be a lot more interesting to talk to and listen with than some 18-year old anyway. For example, what 18-year old girl is going to know anything about All In The Family? ;) They're too busy going to the tattoo parlor to watch any classic TV. Not my idea of fun.

Hey be nice. There are Millennials who are great looking and they have great genes. Not all go to tattoo parlors.
king of comedy 08-19-2015, 05:28 PM Have you seen Hilary Clinton? She hasn't aged well.

You mean you expect it of everyone and it surprises you that most people don't? Also it is your opinion.
