It was a good thing Robert Reed pointed out the camera that was mounted at the front of the coaster being loose, before they actually did the scene.

Yes I found that out when VH1 was doing a Pop Up Brady Marathon about 10 years ago.

In the episode The Cincinnati Kids Mike was the one that suggested that they all go for a ride on the rollercoaster. He was not even on the ride. Robert Reed I understand was terrified and they did not make him go on. the Brady s had the ride of their life.
I don t think I ever saw this episode

Is it because you don't have cable or digital tv?

It seems that maybe you are so much younger than me.
I used to watch the Brady Bunch on a regular TV set that had only 13 channels and three "networks" and I did not have to have a "converter box" for it, nor did I have to subscribe to cable or "digital" TV (if I understand that right).
I used to read some of the "teen" magazines such as "Tiger Beat" and "16" and they had lots of articles about TV shows that teenagers watch. The Brady Bunch was one of them, but I never recall reading anything about the entire cast almost getting killed if one of them did not insist on a safety check.

This episode is currently available on hulu. BTW here's another piece of trivia for this episode. During the opening footage showing King's Island, the music used was also used in an episode of The Andy Griffith Show called "The Pickle Story." It's used towards the end of the episode in the scene at the County Fair.
I recently learned (from watching YouTube) that there was once a "Family Affair" episode in which Buffy (Anissa Jones) befriended a dying girl in the hospital who was played by Eve Plumb.
Eve Plumb also played the star-struck niece of Lucille Ball in a "Here's Lucy" episode in which Donny Osmond guest starred as himself. Eve Plumb was "Priscilla" and had a crush on Donny Osmond. Lucie Arnaz played "Kim" (Priscilla's cousin) and in doing a favor for her cousin by getting Donny Osmond's autograph , there was a mix-up in which Donny Osmond thought "Kim" was "Priscilla" and got a crush on her . I am not sure if this is already mentioned anywhere regarding threads about the Brady Bunch ..
I actually never originally saw the episode of Family Affair with "Buffy" befriending Eve Plumb's character
