While watching "Jack on The Lam", I noticed the widest shot in the livingroom during the entire series run.
When the cops came to sit on the couch, and Janet & Chrissy sat on opposite ends of them, the livingroom looks so much wider than usual
Also, this feels like a transitional episode; it has a 3rd season feel, until you hear the sex jokes
"sometimes I don't know who I'm sleeping with"
or Chrissy's extreme dumbing down "F-Men"

I just watched it again, and I thought the living room looked deeper (more space from front to back), too.
I think it was a transitional episode because of Chrissy's behavior---she is definitely more airheaded in this episode than ever before. But what do you mean by the sex jokes? I feel like there are a lot of similar jokes in the early seasons. I actually think the show got tamer the longer it was on.

It was a transition episode since it was the start of a new era
1. New Hairstyles
2. New Apt Manager
3. New character
4. New opening and closing credits which was connected to that episode

Janet was sporting her new hairdo but was not yet wearing eyeliner too.
