View Full Version : Episodes of LITB with sexual connotation
Kabuki 08-14-2015, 11:14 AM In episode 52, "Happy Weekend": the family goes off to a cabin, near the end of the show where the kids wanted to build a raft by tying logs together and float them to a desert island, Wally asked Ward if he wanted to go? Ward replies " you guys go ahead, I think I've been neglecting your mother since we've been up here"

Bonniegirl 08-14-2015, 01:10 PM Ya think Ward wanted to get "busy" with June in the cabin? LOL!!!
Torgo 08-14-2015, 02:14 PM Ward wanted to mess around with the Beaver while his sons were away.
The kids nickname was Beaver. There was sexual connotation in every episode. "Ward, I think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night".

Tankeryanker 08-14-2015, 07:50 PM You guys!
biffbronson 08-14-2015, 11:02 PM I don't think I've laughed this hard in YEARS...!
What about the Beaver's crushes on much older women -- as the song lyrics go, I've got it bad, got it bad, got it bad... I've got it bad, SO bad... I'm HOT FOR TEACHER! :)

 There's some real longing and yearning going on there...!
Anyway -- as the years went on fictionally, following what we saw at the end of the series, I speculate that Judy Hensler got back in Beaver's life and became a dominatrix in their new relationship...
Kabuki 08-14-2015, 11:48 PM I always laugh at this scene in "Dance Contest" episode 33, year 2 where Mary Ellen Rogers comes by to show Wally her new dress for their upcoming dance this coming Saturday. When I see Wally's friends' big eyes on Mary Ellen, I can feel the heat from my TV screen of the three barrel Pistons pumping Testosterone within the three guys!

Bonniegirl 08-15-2015, 01:57 AM OMG!! That is the ep where Wally tries to learn the Cha Cha Cha from a record! That was SO FUNNY!!!! And the scene where Larry talks Beaver into playing the record and they are dancing together was HILARIOUS!!!
biffbronson 08-15-2015, 06:48 AM When Miss Landers came over to the Cleaver residence for a visit, the boys spying from a distance got a stern little lecture from her. In the modern world, she would contact her attorney immediately -- who would have them charged with voyeurism and get a restraining order slapped on them...! There's a possible foot fetish allusion in that episode as well.:)

There's a possible foot fetish allusion in that episode as well.:)
Great one! Also the naked arm phobia too!

That ep was on the other day! The boys said they couldn't imagine seeing a teacher eating, that's why they wanted to spy on her ! But earlier in the ep. Beaver was saying Miss Landers took them to a Chinese restaurant before!

June was in tight blue jeans in that episode! It show off her actual figure! I saw it in the first or second season!
Tankeryanker 03-07-2016, 01:53 PM June wore jeans when she was gardening too. I do not remember if they were tight or not.
Alex Cooper 03-08-2016, 12:33 AM Don't hate me for this. Not an ep, but a promotional pic and a comic book cover.
Kabuki 11-27-2017, 02:04 AM Haha
Scrabjan1 11-27-2017, 03:17 PM In The Black Eye Beaver tells Gus that if he does get married he's not going to marry a girl. He was lucky as he got older he would find in lots of states he can marry Gilbert or Whitey. I think Richard and Beaver would make a nice couple.
The only time you see Ward kissing June's neck is the first episode (even though it's the second shown) Captain Jack.
That scene with Mary Margaret was steamy the way she stuck her nose in Beaver's neck.
Let's face it if there was any sexual reference it wasn't deliberate.
I think one of the most covert, but clearly implied, sexual connotations is in one of the last episodes in which there is the all-night party after graduation. Ward and June are reluctant to let Wally go until Ward comes and tells Wally that they got together with other parents and set the rules down: no alcoholic beverages of any kind, and if anyone leaves the party before daybreak, the parents are to be called. They are vague, though, in who is 'watching' the action and thus who would call the parents. But Ward does give this explanation: "You see, Wally, there's something about graduation that just gives young people the idea that 'all rules are now off.'"
stevea 12-07-2017, 09:43 AM ...I think Richard and Beaver would make a nice couple...
In Mathers' book he says that he and Correll were were quite close friends. How close?
Scrabjan1 12-09-2017, 12:22 PM I like that reference how “all rules are off.” I guess it reminds me of that expression “off like a prom dress.” Even though it wasn’t called the prom I believe it was the prom of 1963. We had a few guys around here years ago who went on their senior prom which was on a boat but no booze cruise. Well these kids got hold of alcohol got off the boat and drove drunk. Killed two women walking their dogs at 7:30 am. Went right up in the sidewalk.
Some kids’ parents actually rent them a room at their prom venue and do heaven knows what. When we graduated from HS the drinking age went to 18 so we were allowed to drink. They changed that quickly a few years later and went back to 21.
stevea 12-09-2017, 01:39 PM The interesting thing about this thread is the number of views of it. It way eclipses any other nearby thread. I can't imagine why...
Scrabjan1 12-13-2017, 01:19 PM Maybe because the title of the thread has sex in it.
How about in Beaver and Poncho? June is knitting a sweater and Ward is talking about taking out the ad in the paper then says to June that the sweater is kind of small and looks concerned. June tells him to relax it's for the dog. Back in those days men were surprised to find the wife was pregnant. I think it is the only time that Ward believes she could be pregnant. In a few other episodes Beaver mentions having a baby brother and Ward smirks at June.
Wonder if June finished the sweater and sent it over parcel post to Mrs. Bennett for Poncho.
