I'm gonna have to stop LOL'ing! I usually use a laughing or smiling emoticon, but I admit I do LOL, I'll have to get out of that habit, I don't want to be a square!!! Talk about an old term !!!!!! Haha!!!!!

I remember in an old 60's movie where someone was saying his parents (or older people or someone ) were so L7 ! I always thought that was so funny, L7 meaning square!

As Greg Brady might say that band is really "Far out" man!! :D

We should start a thread on words or phrases that were cool and popular from the old days that people don't say anymore! ;)

I remember when I first saw LOL (this was in 2000 I believe) and I asked someone what it meant and she said "it means lots of love." So after that I remember always either being confused or annoyed (usually both) every time I saw LOL until a couple of years or so later when it was explained to me that LOL meant laugh out loud.

This is the second time in few weeks here that someone mentioned a group I never heard of. Off to Spotify again...

I started to get really confused when LMFAO & ROTFL came in ! I got used to LOL! (laughing out loud), but than when it advanced to Laughing my F'ing A** off & Rolling on the floor laughing it was like OK?!!! But if it was about a comment I made, I was like Wow. I'm really THAT funny? Somebody is really rolling on a floor or laughing their A** off at something I posted?!!! I should quit my day job and be a comedian than! :D

When I first started seeing LOL, I thought it stood for Lots Of Luck. When people would put it in messages to me I wondered why they were wishing me luck haha
