Kate Simses Joins ABC’s "Dr. Ken" as Series Regular

Kate Simses (Mixology) is set as a regular opposite Ken Jeong in ABC’s new comedy series "Dr. Ken".
Written by Jared Stern, Mike O’Connell and Jeong, who is a licensed physician, Dr. Ken stars Jeong as a frustrated HMO doctor juggling medicine, marriage and parenting — and succeeding at none of them.
Simses will play Dr. Julie Mintz, a naive, ever optimistic young resident at the HMO. Mintz’s romantic worldview and desire to play by the rules are often at odds with the more realistic opinions of her colleagues.
Simses guest-starred in the role in the pilot.
