I kind of liked the first house better. It was cute and cozier. I loved the picket fence!

I actually like both houses. I can't choose. One of my favorite episodes is after they moved to the second house Beaver goes back to the first house to dig up a tree that was given to him as a gift!

Yeah. I liked that ep! ;)

One of the things I like better about the old house is the staircase! ;)

I like them both. I like the second house because of Ward's den, but I like the look of the living room in the first house.

First cause it is more cozy.

I was raised in a big house and nobody was home. They were out earning money for the big house and I was all alone. :(

Aww! I'm sorry! :( I can kind of relate. I went from a small row house in Philadelphia to a larger old single home still in Philly limits but less inter city-ish! I was 5 when we moved, and it seemed like such a big old scary home at first !:( But my Mom was home all the time, she was a stay at home housewife, and I got used to the new home and grew up there till my early 20's when I went on my own! :) So that became like a cozy old home even though it was a lot bigger! ;)

But back to LITB! I liked the first home! The picket fence, the staircase, the bookcase and window seat in the living room! And the garage! ;)

The one thing I did like about the new house was it seemed to have had a cool breakfast nook / or it was part of the kitchen or something? Seemed when they had breakfast in the new home it was really cool! ;)

I've always liked the second one just a little better because of the den, the roomier kitchen, and the design. Both of those houses have been seen in many productions. The first house, without the picket fence, was in My Three Sons, season 11, as the home of Polly, Chip Douglas' girlfriend with whom he eventually elopes. And the second house-- wow!-- Marcus Welby, M.D., Providence, and who knows what else. For that matter, the second house in My Three Sons was seen in LITB as the house Gilbert moved into in his first appearance.

There is a house in my town that I drive by almost every day that reminds me of the first LITB house. It doesn't look exactly like it (of course), but the exterior paneling, the 2-story structure, and the fact that it's on a street and neighborhood about as old as the Cleavers' house would be now, is what always reminds me of the 'original' Cleaver house. I could get a picture, I'm sure, if anybody would care to see it.

The second house. I liked Ward's den (interesting how sometimes there is a floor-model TV there and sometimes a globe on a stand). I also like the kitchen and how the family eats both breakfast and lunch in a corner of it.

The debut of the new house was on today in Beaver takes a bath ep.

I admit I really do like that house too. It's new and roomy!

Don't know if you noticed, but in an ep before they move, Wally (I think) says they'll get to have their own rooms, of course that doesn't happen. Most likely because it was easier to have them share a room for all of their scenes together.

Yeah they did have a lot of scenes in the boys bedroom! :) In real life if they had a three bedroom house, Wally would probably demand his own room. He was a teenager and having to share a room with his much younger brother!

And LOL@ the third bedroom being the "guest room"! It seems like the Cleavers never had any out of town, overnight guests! :D

I do really like the kitchen in the second house. The checkered curtains that match the kitchen furniture is so cute ! Cool how they have breakfast and lunch in there and dinner in the dining room! :)

When I was growing up we ate all our meals in the kitchen, unless we had company over! Even than unless it was a lot of people or "fancy company" like a dinner party we still ate in the kitchen. :)

My parents use the "kitchen table" as theur dining table. The so called "dining room" has never been used, i remember eating a Thanksgiving dinner on it when invited a work mate and his daughter for dinner. Used it for my college graduation to hold drinks and cake. That's about it.

Also, our family WATCHES TV at dinner! Basically the news and whatever somes after the news. Lots of times they will basically sit at the kichen table until bedtime playing cards and whatnot watching TV. I dont like people who have to have the TV off because it is dinnertime, like it is some holy event. Actually the smell of steaks reminds me of Hee Haw because we would have steaks for Saturday dinner and this is when the show was on. Pot Roast and Sunday food reminds me of Morley Safer and 60 Minutes. Weird that way.

I love the window boxes with the plants or flowers in the upstairs windows of the second house!

So I am leaning towards liking both houses now!
