I was watching this episode (the one where Janet's high school crush comes back and almost tries to rape her). Jack and Chrissy actually call Janet from the Regal Beagle to check up on her---that was the perfect opportunity for Janet to tell them she was in trouble, but she didn't.

Clearly the phone call was only there so Jack could do a funny accent and get a laugh, but it seemed like a plot hole. Just one of those little things.

Watching it as a kid I didn't know what rape meant so it didn't sink into my head that Janet was in that deep trouble, but yeah it does seem like a joke setup for Jack to do his impersonation. I still crack up when Jack puts on his "dumb" Chrissy face.
