View Full Version : If you woke up in a barn full of records, what would you look for?
Dude111 07-30-2015, 08:52 AM Ah man!!!!!
I would look for these
1) Steve Winwood - Talking back to the night (REG COPY - NOT SR-1 or 2)
2) Madonna - True Blue (REG COPY - NOT SR-1 or 2)
3) RATT - Out of the celler (REG COPY - NOT SR-1 or 2)
All I can think of @ the moment :)
Zoneboy 07-30-2015, 01:18 PM I would head straight for the 45's and look for artists, titles, and labels I've never heard of. All the stuff that's been shoved-down-your-throat for years would be left behind, the only exception would be promotional issues.
Bonniegirl 07-30-2015, 06:33 PM LOL @ a "barn full" of records! That struck me funny for some reason!
I think I would be like Zoneboy and check out the 45's first! 60's and 70's ! Than albums 60's -70's , any genre, but specifically mid 60's through mid 70's which IMO is the best music ever. Of course I liked music from the late 70's- early 80's and late 50's - early 60's too. I'd check all that out!
Penny Lane 07-31-2015, 09:30 PM I would look for all of my favorite albums from my teen years in the 60's.,
The Beatles( of course)
The Animals
The Righteous Brothers
The Monkees
Sonny and Cher
The Kinks
The Searchers
Gene Pitney

robyrob 08-10-2015, 09:04 AM if i woke up in a barn huh?
well, I would probably look for a record player before looking at the records, because wouldn't they all be useless without it? But then I would think how the hell did I get here, was I drugged?
And then the first thing that I would look for is a scar where my kidneys should be.
Dude111 08-13-2015, 04:06 AM Well I hope they would still be there Robby :)
Steve M. 08-16-2015, 09:44 PM The Beatles - Revolver
Family - A Song For Me
The Rolling Stones - Beggar's Banquet
Crosby, Stills and Nash
Jim Croce - Photographs and Memories - His Greatest Hits
Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits, Volume 2
Neil Young - After the Gold Rush
Rush - Moving Pictures
Plus so many more . . .
Dude111 03-29-2022, 12:56 AM I would head straight for the 45's and look for artists, titles, and labels I've never heard of.
You wouldnt believe how much Gold I have found doing this ZB!!!!!
I get records/cassettes/8 tracks of groups I hadnt ever heard but it looks good and usually its insane gold!!!!! (Sometimes not but usually is)
JO Sweet Heart 03-29-2022, 08:20 AM I would look for the exit because a record will never be my favorite way to listen to anything. I only go for them when they are the only way to listen to whoever it is that I love to hear.
God bless you and my favorite singers who are still here always!!!
Holly
AMackII 03-29-2022, 09:43 AM Anything From the 80s and the 90s unless if I own a CD player
