I visited in 2005 and walked the streets. later found her house nearby. It is wonderful that the most famous actress from the 1950's has a museum out of California. It must do wonders for the town of Jamestown.

I've been there, too. It's quite an amazing small town set in a truly beautiful spot in the country on a lake in the mountains and, yes, that museum is a good testimony to her [and Desi]! Alas, I was on a roadtrip and could only be there for two hours.:(

I went to the museum once as well, but it was at least 15 years ago. It was before the Lucy-Desi festival got as big as it is now. I agree that it's wonderful that there is a Lucy museum outside of California, and in this little upstate NY town. Even more wonderful is that they also have this big festival every year in this remote town, that thousands of people travel to from all of the country and all over the world. Is there any other celebrity that has a following like that? Pretty much that entire town is devoted to Lucy. And as for having a Lucy museum outside of California, Universal Studios for many years had Lucille Ball museums and Lucy impersonators at both their California and Florida theme parks. So for a number of years, there were three Lucy museums around the country.
