All in the family and the Jeffersons had one right after the summer of 1977 and was wondering did any other sitcom based in NYC have one
I guess it was written into the script because NYC just experience a blackout the summer before the 1977-78 season.
What about Barney Miller? Welcome Back Kotter? Rhoda?

ALL IN THE FAMILY did-not for the entire episode though.

You know maybe you could edit the title a little bit, and write something more about what it's about.

Thanks, that's much better. Easier to read.
NBC did a whole night of blackout sitcoms in '94, except for SEINFELD, which wouldn't play along.

Seemed kind of foolish since it wasn't connected to anything. Atleast viewers knew why there was a blackout ep on the Jeffersons and All in the Family

Neither one of these three sitcoms had an episode about the 1977 NYC blackout.
