I think maybe the Larry comparison is strongest because of the dark color.

Those guys remind me of how my brother looked in those years, as far as hairstyle. I was trying to think of which movie might've influenced those styles. If I had to say, I'd go back to Saturday Night Fever.

Valerie looked pretty good I thought, in her gravity-defying style. Shelley Fabares looked SOOO FINE before she went super-curly years later on Coach (starting in 1989).

Sam Royer reminded me of Dr. Johnny Fever except better looking.
