Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert to Divorce

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are officially divorcing. TMZ reports the two country superstars filed divorce papers a while ago, and a judge is expected to officially end their 4-year marriage today.

"This is not the future we envisioned," the former couple said in a statement to the Associated Press. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."

A rep for Shelton confirmed the news to Billboard. Lambert and Shelton, who have no children together, married in May 2011.

What makes me feel bad for them is the fact that they most definitely will not be getting what it is that they have asked for and that is the privacy that every couple in the spotlight should be allowed to have since it is their lives still no matter where their jobs place them. I won't be surprised when every rag magazine out there writes everything that can be written about them. I am rather surprised that its never been written before that Blake is pregnant. The rags lie all the time any way so why stop where they have already chosen to? (shaking my head)
