I'm curious if anyone has ever come across photos taken on the set of the series. Start of the show, or at the end of the run... photos in make-up chairs, the set, blocking, line-up - anything.

I think it would be neat to see what we all missed.

Wow. No one knows of any candid "Mama's Family" photos? I would think there is at least one floating around cyber-land...

These are the only ones I'm familiar with that are actually on the set. I found these all by Googling "Mama's Family set" and clicking "Images".

The group shot is from Betty White's book Here We Go Again, the photo of Garrett and Courtney with Vicki in her Mama get-up is from Vicki's out-of-print autobiography, and the 100th episode cake shot I've just seen online.

It looks like the Garrett/Courtney/Vicki-"Mama" pic is actually from rehearsal/taping of the very first taped episode, "Alien Marriage", which was shown as the penultimate episode of season 1 as a flashback (and I love the "Mama's Boys" shirts the crew has there).

I thought the first taped episode was "Mama's Silver". "Alien Marriage" was 7002, the other was 7001. So "Alien Marriage" was taped on May 15, 1982?

Ah, my mistake (it was early in the morning when I posted, lol); I knew AM and MS were the first two episodes produced, I had forgotten which one was first. But yes, it looks like "Alien Marriage" taped on May 15, 1982.

No, when they were celebrating the 100th episode, it was by taping order. Look at this script. It even says "Our 100th Show" on top of it.

Hmm, but it's listed on online episode guides as episode #99. Something's not right, because even if they moved the episode back to air earlier, it couldn't be before #100 if it was really their 100th-taped show. :confused:

"My Phony Valentine" was taped as the 100th episode, and it aired as the 99th.

Ah, I guess they must have had enough taped episodes ahead of time to "play with the order", then.
